New Release: DC's Very Merry Multiverse
When DC released the solicitation for today's DC's Very Merry Multiverse holiday anthology back in September, they completely failed to tell us that it contains a story featuring the greatest restaurant manager the world has never known!
"Twas the Night" is a short story taking place in the Planet Krypton restaurant of the Kingdom Come continuity of Earth-22 which is not to be confused with the Planet Krypton restaurant of the mainstream DCU as seen in The Kingdom. (And they say comic books are too convoluted. Pshaw!)
The 8-page story was written by Brittany Holzherr, the associate editor for both "The Gift" and Heroes in Crisis. My opinions of those stories are well known, but I'm not holding them against Holzherr, who seems to have learned all the right lessons: once again she's working with some great artists in Todd Nauck, Hi-Fi, Andworld Designs!
There's a preview of the anthology's first story (Harley Quinn in "It's a Horrible Life") online at CBR.com, but do yourself a favor and just buy this very Boosterrific issue anyway. You'll make Skeets — and yourself — merry indeed.

New Release: DC Cybernetic Summer
Released yesterday to a Local Comic Shop near you: DC Cybernetic Summer #1, including Booster Gold & Blue Beetle [and Skeets] in "The Boys of Summer" by Heath Corson, Scott Koblish, Hi-Fi, and Carlos M. Mangual.
CBR.com has the issue preview, but with Skeets on the cover, I'm sure you don't need it. (Which is good, because neither Booster nor Skeets is actually in the preview. Just Batman. Because Batman = DC Comics. I mean, who else would they let drive that Metal Men Jeep? Superman doesn't even own a car. Speaking of which, who formed the tires? It must be that newest Metal Man: Steel-Belted Radials.)
Buy this issue and make Skeets happy.

New Release: Harley Quinn 67
I'm not going to lie and tell you I understand what was happening between Booster Gold and Harley Quinn in last month's Harley Quinn #66. I have even less idea what's going on in today's Harley Quinn #67.
What I do know is that with art by Dan Jurgens, Norm Rapmund, and Hi-Fi, it's going to look great.
Harley's right. Martian Manhunter's funeral was in second issue.
If you want to see more, Batman-News.com has the preview.
Thanks to Rob Snow for that news.
By the way, since you're already on your way to your LCS, consider looking on the back issue racks for the most recent issue of Action Comics. The variant "DCeased" cover to issue #1016 included a zombiefied Booster Gold. I missed that when the issue was released 2 weeks ago. Thankfully, Logan Peterson didn't. Good spot, Logan.
Buy these issues and make Skeets happy.

Old Release: Justice League 34
It doesn't look like Booster Gold will be appearing in any new books today, but Shawn Baston has caught this Booster appearance in Justice League #34 that slipped past me two weeks ago:
art by Bruno Redondo, color by Hi-Fi
As you can see, Kamandi, the so-called "Last Boy on Earth," has summoned help from across the Multiverse. You'll spot heroes from Earths 4, 5, 12, 22, and 30, just to name a few. Which of these Earths is this Booster Gold from?
Personally, I'd say that looks like the Booster from the Injustice universe, though it's possible that's because the artist of this piece, Bruno Redondo, was also the artist on Injustice 2.
Whoever he is, he looks darn good. I'm sure the Multiverse is now safe.
Thanks, Shawn.
