New Comic Day

Today you'll find All-In tie-ins Flash #30, Justice League Unlimited #16, and Superman #35. I have no idea if Booster Gold will be in any of them.

However, I do know from the preview at AIPTComics.com that Booster is in perhaps the last place I would have expected him: the Black History Month special New History of the DC Universe: The Dakota Incident #1.

It just goes to show that you never know where Booster Gold will turn up next.

UPDATE: Yep, just NHotDCU this week.

UPDATE UPDATE: I was wrong. As you see in the comments below Booster is, briefly, in Superman. Thanks, Shawn.

Whatever

I'm not seeing any reason in online solicitations for Booster Gold fans to go to our Local Comic Shops tomorrow. I'd rather watch the Olympics anyway.

In the meantime, let me once again thank J for all the hard work editing my typos in the Boosterrific Annotations. J has also been catching books that have been included in reprint collections, most especially Justice League International Book Two: Around the World, which apparently contains a lot of content not clearly indicated on the book cover. Thanks, J!

New Releases: DC K.O. 4

DC K.O. #4 is out today.

And that's all I want to say about that.

New Release: Crossover edition

Keeping with the team-up theme established with Monday's post, Booster Gold is in two comics today in which the DC Comics universe crosses over with other "universes" of content.

DC K.O. Boss Battle #1 one-shot has 8 covers, most of which feature some kind of team-up between different universes. The preview at AIPTComics.com makes clear that Booster Gold is certainly in the issue; he's being controlled by Darkseid, so that's a kind of a team-up.

And, as we already knew from recent DC house ads, Booster teams up with professional commentator Excalibur in DC x AEW #1 (also available for preview at AIPTComics.com) for the first issue of the 2-part crossover between a bunch of larger-than-life characters wearing spandex and the DC Comics universe.

That's a lot of crossing over. Surely it's no accident that this week is also seeing the re-release of 1981's Marvel Treasury Edition #28, better known as DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man! Must be something in the water.

Anyway, DC K.O. Boss Battle #1 and DC x AEW #1 combine for 13 different covers and somehow Booster Gold is on none of them. So buyer's choice! Pick up the cover you like best of either of those issues, Booster boosters, and make Skeets (and his cross-company counterparts) happy.

Do There Have to Be New Releases?

Superman #34 is coming out today. I do not know if Booster will be in it, but (1) this title is written by Joshua Williamson, who is also co-writing DC K.O., and (2) Booster Gold has made at least a cameo appearance in the last five consecutive issues of the series (six of the last seven). Ergo, it seems that odds are good that Booster will be in this one, too.

If I can get to my Local Comic Shop today, I'll update this post accordingly.

UPDATE: Confirmed, Booster is indeed in Superman #34. And Logan, the manager of my Local Comic Shop, assures me that he looked through the other books DC released and this is the only one with Booster in it. Thanks, Logan!

UPDATE 2: Curse you, Logan! As eighties88 has pointed out in the comments, Booster Gold does indeed appear in one panel of DC's Supergirl Next Door. Thanks for the correction, eighties88.
