New Releases: Superman 30, New History of DC 3
Pay attention, Booster boosters, as Booster Gold is in three different comics today!
Did I say "different"? According to Rob Snow, not so much. Apparently, while Booster Gold is in Justice League Unlimited #11, it's just the "last page splash panel. Same exact scene as the last page splash panel in Superman #30" that sets up next month's Justice League: The Omega Act.
You all already know my opinions on what's going on over in Superman, so that's all I have to say about those.
However, the third comic is New History of the DC Universe #3, which has been twice delayed past its original expected date August 27. Two delays are kind of fitting considering that Booster Gold and Skeets(!) are on two of its covers, one by Chris Samnee and the other by Scott Koblish. Both are really great. AIPTComics.com has a preview of the interior that confirms that Booster Gold and Skeets are inside, too.
Buy some comics and make Skeets happy! Thanks, Rob.

I Thought Superman Was Just Ok
Breaking news alert! Just in time for them to talk about this ad infinitum at Comic-Con, Deadline exclusively reports
HBO Max is progressing with its Booster Gold TV series and has attached Our Flag Means Death creator David Jenkins to write the pilot.
And we can be reasonably certain that it is true because Jenkins posted about it on Instagram.
Now, ray of sunshine that I am, I'm inclined to point out that this is at least the third announced writer for the current iteration of a Booster Gold series which has been in the works at Warner Bros since *checks notes* 2011. And they are still working on hammering out a single pilot episode. I will, as they say, believe it when I see it.
But that's just me being grumpy.
I'll concede that having a writer working on the project is certainly more promising than having no writer. So adjust your own hopes and dreams accordingly.
(Thanks to Rob Snow, whose emails inspired me to go ahead and post this news before I get any grumpier from the inevitable tidal wave of unfounded Internet speculation this announcement will unleash.)

ROYGGGBBIV
Oh, shoot. I almost forgot to post something today. See, I was writing a script to help me identify where the current drought of new Booster Gold adventures sits historically* — I had an old script that did this years ago, but DC continuity has only gotten more convoluted since then and so has how the Boosterrific Database tracks it — and I lost track of time.
The good news is that Rob Snow has me covered. Or at least he tried to.
Earlier this week, to counter the lack of official Booster Gold art coming from DC, Rob forwarded me a picture of the JLI drawn as tweenagers that has been making the rounds on a particular website. But try as I might, I cannot identify the artist, and that anti-social media site won't even let me see the posts unless I log in. And since I'm not going to do that, I'm not going to share the art here at this time. (If you ever identify that artist, let me know, Rob.)
The good news is that while I was trying to identify the artist for that, I found this, a totally awesome color wheel by Melonnabar at Between Two Worlds on Tumblr.com (which still seems quite happy to share):
Pretty awesome, right? Yeah, I'd say that all worked out.
*For the record, "175 days" is 11th on the all-time list and only two weeks from breaking into the top ten. But let's not focus on the negative today, okay? Color Wheel!

Any Reason to Buy Comics in June
The June 2025 DC Comics solicitations are here... and Booster Gold is not.
Booster booster Rob Snow thinks there's "a chance" we might see Booster in Justice League Unlimited #8, which is the finale of the "We Are Yesterday" crossover story. That would be nice, wouldn't it? (It would certainly make Tiffany happy, as she has been promoting that theory for months.)
If you want to read the solicitation text for Justice League Unlimited yourself to set your own level of hopefulness, you can read the full list yourself at AIPTComics.com.

Art Dump
Start your week with Booster Gold fan art!
First up is this image drawn by Jose Holder, a professional concept artist for Warner Bros Games. I know it says "TikTok," but clicking on the image will actually take you to the "making of" video on Instagram.com.
Second is this Justice League International vs X-Men re-imagining of Jim Lee's 1991 X-Men #3 cover by professional comic artist Kevin Maguire (drawn as a commission for Megacon, spotted on X.com by Rob Snow):
Third, because I don't want anyone to think that Booster Gold should only be drawn by pros, here's a pic of Booster (and Skeets!) by artist jaywani (whose work I have posted before) found on DeviantArt.com:
Keep drawing, everybody!
