Friends Do Not Let Friends Wear Ugly Sweaters

The full suite of DC's March 2026 solicitations should be released later today, but yesterday DC.com gave a first look at the "second phase of DC ALL IN" including releasing this Bruno Redondo Open To Order variant cover for Justice League Unlimited #17:

© DC Comics

JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED #17
Written by MARK WAID, Art by CLAYTON HENRY, Variant cover by BRUNO REDONDO
$3.99 US | 32 pages | Variant $4.99 US (card stock)
ON SALE 3/25/26
In the aftermath of DC K.O., the Justice League has to work even harder to protect mankind—and that means it’s time for new blood to face new challenges! Who will join Wonder Woman and Batman to lead the new JLU?

In addition to that, AIPComics.com writes that Booster Gold will also be playing some part in the coming "Reign of the Superboys" storyline beginning March 11 in Action Comics #1096 (though it's not clear if Booster will be in that issue).

Maybe more will be revealed with the full set of solicitations.

UPDATE: And yes, it was. Booster Gold is on the Skylar Patridge Corner Box variant cover of Action Comics #1096. And that wrestling comic we first learned about back in November is DC X AEW #1, releasing on February 2, 2026. (Why wasn't it in last month's solicitations?) All of which means there will be a whole bunch of Booster in comic shops next year.

You can see the full slate of solicitations and covers at AIPTComics.com.

Justice League Revisited

Booster booster Steven writes

"Just listened to a podcast interview with Dan Jurgens about Booster Gold. It is the Justice League Revisited podcast with Susan Eisenberg & James Enstall. It is worth a listen."

Steven told me about that last week, and a quick Googling indicates he was talking about the episode released October 21, which they describe thusly:

Susan Eisenberg and James of Geek To Me Radio chat with the creator of Booster Gold, Dan Jurgens, to find out how he liked the Justice League Unlimited's take on his creation as we once again cover "The Greatest Story Never Told"... [which] originally aired on September 1, 2004.

You can find the podcast on several popular sites, including creators.spotify.com.

Despite being a big fan of both Jurgens and "The Greatest Story Never Told," I have to admit that I have not yet listened myself. But don't let my personal inability to find time to listen to an hour of talk radio stop you from tuning in.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Steven.

New Releases: Superman 30, New History of DC 3

Pay attention, Booster boosters, as Booster Gold is in three different comics today!

Did I say "different"? According to Rob Snow, not so much. Apparently, while Booster Gold is in Justice League Unlimited #11, it's just the "last page splash panel. Same exact scene as the last page splash panel in Superman #30" that sets up next month's Justice League: The Omega Act.

You all already know my opinions on what's going on over in Superman, so that's all I have to say about those.

However, the third comic is New History of the DC Universe #3, which has been twice delayed past its original expected date August 27. Two delays are kind of fitting considering that Booster Gold and Skeets(!) are on two of its covers, one by Chris Samnee and the other by Scott Koblish. Both are really great. AIPTComics.com has a preview of the interior that confirms that Booster Gold and Skeets are inside, too.

Buy some comics and make Skeets happy! Thanks, Rob.

Coming Soon: Justice League Unlimited 14

It's taken over a year since DC solicited the first issue of Justice League Unlimited by teasing the new team would "encompass every hero championing the forces of good in the face of incredible evil!" And we're finally getting an issue with Booster Gold in it.

According to the December 2025 solicitations, Booster Gold will be on the Kevin Wada alternate cover to Justice League Unlimited #4.

Variant covers by SANFORD GREENE, JEFF SPOKES, KEVIN WADA, and STEVAN SUBIC

As the time-displaced heroes fight for their lives against the towering might of the demonic Neron, Mr. Terrific descends into the cold vacuum of space! But this time it’s by his own design…can Michael Holt team with the rogue agent behind Justice League Red to purge all emotion and coldly calculate the fate of humanity? Great! Another fun book from the happy people at DC Comics!

Taking It to the Max

I recently got an email from Travis Bickle, and although he was clearly "talkin' to me," I think it's best if I just pass along exactly what he said:

We certainly are in a heavy Booster dry spell right now, which is why I was pathetically exuberant upon finding the news I'm about to share. HBO just updated its streaming service to be called simply "Max" instead of "HBO Max" (really clever change), and with this came some slight adjustments to other aspects of the experience as well, including allowing HBO's userbase to more options for their avatars in-app. Now, a user's profile can be represented by none other than Booster Gold, utilizing his look from the JLU animated series. Previously the options were a lot more limited.

© DC Comics

Just last week, Warner Bros. Discovery put out a press release announcing new avatars were coming to their retooled app. Booster was nowhere to be seen. I'm very glad to see that oversight has been corrected.

Thanks for the news, Travis, but don't stay up all night watching movies. Lack of sleep is bad for your mental health.
