Other Media Update
Look, I'm just one guy. I miss things. Thankfully, you Booster boosters have my back.
Example 1: Rob Snow has brought to my attention that the latest edition of The DC Comics Encyclopedia: The Definitive Guide to the Characters of the DC Universe from DK/Penguin Random House is out, with returning entries for Booster Gold, Skeets, and several Blue Beetles. This latest 2026 edition also contains a new entry for Gold Beetle.
Thanks, Rob. The Boosterrific! Books list has been updated accordingly.
Example 2: FZ alerts me that the site has for years been overlooking the Booster Gold trading card included in the Mattel Justice League Unlimited action figures. It took quite a bit of online investigation to discover that there were 19 different cards in that set, distributed randomly among the figures, so you could get a Booster Gold card (featuring art from the greatest JLU episode, "The Greatest Story Never Told") with a Superman figure or vice versa.
Thanks, FZ. The Boosterrific! Trading Cards list has been updated accordingly.
Keep your eyes open, Booster boosters. Our hero is everywhere!

King of the One-Shots
It's been so long since Booster Gold appeared in a monthly DC Comics solicitation that I've forgotten how I used to format these posts, but since Booster is actually on the cover of a comic book for the first time since October.... No, wait. Scratch that. He's on three covers for the same book:

CVR A CIAN TORMEY

CVR B JORGE FORNES CARD STOCK VAR

CVR D FERNANDO BLANCO CARD STOCK VAR
And, for good measure, there's also a Gold Beetle cover:

CVR C NATHAN SZERDY CARD STOCK VAR
JUSTICE LEAGUE: DARK TOMORROW SPECIAL #1
Written by MARK WAID and MARC GUGGENHEIM
Art and cover by CIAN TORMEY
Variant cover by JORGE FORNES, NATHAN SZERDY, FERNANDO BLANCO
$5.99 US, 48 pages, Variant $5.99 US (card stock), on sale 7/30/25
In the wake of the We Are Yesterday crossover epic, a mysterious Quantum Quorum has emerged… stalked by a lethal enemy that takes no prisoners. The League deputizes a rag tag group of time displaced heroes like Batman Beyond, Gold Beetle, and Helena Wayne to fill the void left behind by the Time Masters and save the quorum from the mysterious threat that’s picking off time-travelers one by one. These Legends of Tomorrow are the only ones standing in the way of this cascading chronal Armageddon with the past, present, and future teetering on the brink in this oversized special leading to the next big DC All In event!
Believe it or not, it has never happened that Booster has appeared on three standard-order variants for the same issue, so I have some re-coding to do before the Boosterrific Database can handle displaying this once-in-four-decades scenario. Whether you decide to buy all the covers or just one, it's still nice for Booster boosters to have something to look forward to for a change.
You can read the complete list of coming attractions for DC Comics' July 2025 at AIPTComics.com. Thanks to all who made sure I saw these.

Gold Beetle Family Tree
The Gold Beetle returns — as a prisoner of the Linear Men! — in this week's The Flash #7:

written by Simon Spurrier, art by Ramon Perez
Seven issues into this latest Flash volume, it's still a big mystery what's actually going on (thanks, decompression!), so I can't explain it to you. What I can say for sure is that the mysterious Linear Man codenamed "Inspector Pilgrim" talking to Max Mercury and Impulse claims he and the detained Gold Beetle are "kinda family."
While I'm inclined to believe that "Inspector Pilgrim" is yet another future version of Jai West (who smooched with Gold Beetle during the One Minute War), I suppose it's a possibility that Pilgrim has some relationship with Booster Gold or Blue Beetle.
Maybe one day we'll find out.

New Release: Flash 799
Don't let that headline mislead you; I'm not expecting to see Booster Gold in this week's The Flash #799. But as the issue preview now available at AIPTComics.com demonstrates, we will definitely be seeing Gold Beetle:

As I said a few weeks ago, I'm expecting we'll see Gold Beetle again on June 6 in The Flash's "extra-sized" final issue #800. (Don't worry, DC is restarting Flash with a whole new number one in September... because, um, the number one is cooler.)
What I was NOT expecting, and what I learned from reading the Flash #800 preview also already online at AIPTComics.com, is that the issue will feature an appearance by Booster Gold's long-lost second foe, Mindancer!

I can't wait to find out what she's been up to for the last 37 years!

If Only I Had More Time
I've been really, really busy lately, so I haven't even made it to my Local Comic Shop in a week. Therefore, I wouldn't have known about this week's Gold Beetle appearance if not for Booster booster Marty. Thanks, Marty!

As you can see above, Gold Beetle and Wally West have their first meeting (from her perspective) in this week's Flash #798.
Of course, their first meeting from his perspective was in Flash #767, during which he was displaced in time and inhabiting Impulse's body in the 30th century. So their objectively chronological "present day" first encounter would be Flash #795. Confused yet?
One of these days I really need to devote more time to Gold Beetle, and that time might be soon. It sure looks like she'll be back for Flash #799, and no self-respecting heir to the legacy of Booster Gold would dare miss a milestone issue like #800....
