New Release: Absolute Power 3
When we last saw our hero in Absolute Power #2, he was caught up in the Brainiac Queen's attack on Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Did he get away safely? The suspense is killing me!
Unfortunately for my ulcers, Booster Gold is not seen in the preview available at aiptcomics.com for today's Absolute Power #3. But Blue Beetle is! And so are most of the other heroes last seen in Absolute Power#2.
If Beetle is free, Booster can't be too far away. (If he's on Themyscira, he's probably busy off panel hitting on Wonder Woman again. Some things are just more important than defeating another fascist would-be world dictator.)
Consider buying this issue and making Skeets happy.

Friendship Is Hard Work
Although this is good enough to be one of those humorous one-page strips DC used to publish in Silver Age comic books (I'm particularly fond of Henry Boltinoff's Super-Turtle), this was actually created by Sully of sully-s.tumblr.com in 2021. Keep up the good work, Sully!

Comic Blogging Hack
Last night, I was "surfing the web" (just using that phrase probably tells you how old I am) for contemporary criticism of some movies I had recently watched. After reading a particularly un-insightful posting at a reasonably popular website, I noticed that the writer's byline defined them as a "content writer." I wish that had been at the top of the article instead of the bottom. It's pretty useful information.
A content writer is employed to do exactly what the title would suggest: provide content. They are unlikely to have a particular point of view or any special wisdom to share (in which case they'd have better writing jobs). They're usually artless pens-for-hire filling space, doing their best to capture eyeballs for whatever their corporate overlords are selling.
I was feeling resentful about being caught in that particular spiderweb, but then I thought: isn't that what I'm doing here at Boosterrific.com? Everything I write in this blog shamelessly germinates from the fundamental idea of drawing attention to Boosterrific.com. I hope that most of what I post is helpful to my fellow Booster boosters, but no one really needs any of this. I like to think I'm contributing to your quality of life, but aren't I really just adding to the trivial background noise that so often interferes with actual intellectual growth all for the sake of my own vanity?
If you really wanted to learn about Booster Gold, you could replace most of my blog content with some competent Googling. Or at least it could be Googled before Google replaced snippets of links with an unvetted AI summary of whatever the algorithm decided that you intended to Google instead. That's... not helpful. Especially when you're looking for something as niche as the minutia of Booster Gold super powers or costume quirks.
Hmm. Maybe, in the grand scheme of things, my blather is pointless. But maybe also not everything needs to have a point. Comic books, especially Booster Gold comic books, are fun; the more we can celebrate them, the better. So if you feel I wasted your time with this post, well, there will be another one on Wednesday.
