Someone Should Start a Support Group
Over the weekend, pigeon writes
Hi! just wanted to let you know this thing about the booster gold show. david jenkins just deleted his post about writing the show, and unfollowed james gunn, so he might not be writing it. which sucks, because his writing is perfect for a booster show.
Quick refresher for those who haven't been paying attention to the slow-moving fiasco that is Booster Gold's journey to television stardom: Jenkins had been attached to the project since last July (personally confirming the news on Instagram in a post that has now been deleted), making him the latest in a string of many, many writers and producers gained and then lost since a Booster Gold television show was first teased in 2011. (It's almost old enough to drive!)
Like everyone else online, I can only speculate what this might mean for Booster boosters. Is Jenkins really off the project? Was it his decision? Gunn's? Is the pending Paramount acquisition of Warner Bros. already churning the waters? Does social media make everyone act like we're all still in middle school?
Although this sounds like bad news, it also sounds like merely the latest speed bump in Booster's very winding road to live-action adventures. Let's hope this isn't a dead end street.
Thanks, pigeon.
UPDATE: For those who want a reminder of how we got here, here's a link to the Boosterrific! Movie Development page: boosterrific.com/booster/movie.php.
FURTHER UPDATE: Someone on x.com had the good sense to directly ask "Any truth to the rumors that you have left the Booster Gold pilot for the DCU?" and Jenkins answered "As far as I know it's still in the pipeline". Which looks on the surface as a refutation of the rumor. But Jenkins is a writer of some renown, which means he chooses his words carefully, and the words he chose here are not an explicit confirmation of his involvement. So make of this whatever you want, Booster boosters.

The X Files
Booster boosters Rob Snow and Pigeon both wrote to tell me that Booster Gold and Skeets have been sighted in DC Go!'s Aquaman: Yo-Ho-Hold Onto Your Hook!. Rob even gave me a couple of images he found on X.

I, for various reasons, am not on X, but I believe, based on the other screenshot that Rob sent me of an X post by Josh Trujillo, that the Booster and Skeets seen above are in issue #19 released to Ultra members of dcuniverseinfinte.com on November 11.
X will not let me search its content without an account, but from what Rob and Pigeon have told me plus a little old fashioned Google sleuthing, I am under the impression that the above character turnaround was drawn by Bradley Clayton, who is one of several artists that the DC Universe Infinite credits on that issue.
However, for slightly different reasons, I also do not have a DC Universe Infinite Ultra account, which is required to actually read that issue. (I read free issue #1. Reminded me of One Piece. Is that the target audience: people who can't get enough One Piece?) So I'm just going to have to assume that reliable Rob and dependable Pigeon aren't pulling my leg with one of those elaborate AI ruses that seem to be everywhere these days.
If anyone reading this does have an Ultra account, can confirm that Booster Gold is in Aquaman: Yo-Ho-Hold Onto Your Hook! #19, and wants to send me a screenshot of the title and credits page of that issue, I'll add the issue (with credit to the treasure hunter who brings me this bounty) to the Boosterrific! Database.
Thanks to Rob and Pigeon for their eternal vigilance, especially in this age of pirates.

So This Is Why Superman Wears Trunks
Last week, the aptly named Pigeon sent me a link to a TikTok video (specifically tiktok.com/@stackthedeck/video/7563358218739535134) in reference to this screencap:

That, TikToker stackthedeck claims, is a leaked page from the upcoming Justice League / AEW crossover comics coming in 2026. As you can see, the narrative box in that final panel seems to belong to Booster Gold, who explicitly mentions Skeets. ("Let the hunt begin, folks! My buddy Skeets makes a hell of a monitor...")
Could it be that Booster and Skeets will finally be reunited ringside following DC K.O.? We can only hope.
No release date for the crossover comics has yet been announced, but it looks like sooner than later. For more information, you can read the original October 1 announcement they were coming on Variety.com.
Thanks, Pidgeon.

My Mistake: Call Her by Her Name
I have an apology to make: Boosterrific.com has had some data about Booster Gold wrong for years. Specifically, I have failed to identify Booster's mother's first name as "Ellen."
Mrs. Carter has never been named in any story, so I had always acted as though she had never been given a name. But somehow I totally overlooked the "Known Relatives" section of the loose-leaf format Who's Who in the DC Universe #2, which clearly says "Ellen."

I cannot explain why I've overlooked that all these years. I've certainly had this volume since, well, probably since it came out in 1990. (I didn't buy all every loose-leaf Who's Who at the time; some I picked up some later. Maybe this was one of the latter.) Its text is attributed to the character's creator Dan Jurgens, who I would certainly trust to give her a name.
I can only guess that once upon a time I decided that Who's Who entries weren't canon. That seems an antiquated notion in this modern era of "everything is in continuity somewhere." In any event, it's well past time I recognized it throughout Boosterrific.com.
Big thanks to Pigeon for drawing my attention to this mistake so that I could correct it.
