New Release: JL v. LoSH 3
Look! Booster Gold made a surprise appearance in this week's Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes #3:

It's only a cameo appearance, but if you buy this issue, it will make Skeets happy.

New Release: Free Comic Book Day Dark Crisis 0
I've seen tomorrow's Free Comic Book Day Dark Crisis Special Edition #0 — well, technically, according to the indicia, it's the Dark Crisis #0 FCBD Special Edition 2022 (suggesting that there will be another one in 2023?) — and I can personally attest that Booster Gold is in it.

I had previously griped about Booster's cut-and-paste inclusion in this two-page spread, but I can now attest that our hero appears in a second, more significant panel (along with some guy whose name rhymes with "glue needle"). But showing *that* panel would be spoilers, so you'll just have to take my word for it. At least until you get to your Local Comic Shop and participate in the weekend's festivities.
And while you're in your Local Comic Shop, perhaps you'll consider picking up Earth-Prime #3, which includes an unexpected Legends of Tomorrow Booster Gold story that fleshes out what Booster was up to between the scenes of the series finale, "Knocked Up, Knocked Down."

I've seen the episode and I've read the comic, and I'm *still* not sure I understand what's going on. But at least the comic hints at the relationship between Booster and the Legends of Tomorrow version of Skeets. It's complicated, but also kind of sweet. Kind of.
Get either of these books and make Skeets happy!

New Release: Blue and Gold 8
If you are a Booster Gold fan — and considering that you're reading Boosterrific.com, you probably are — stop for a minute to consider that the character's creator, Dan Jurgens, has materially contributed to Booster's development for the past 37 years and counting! That's a spectacular run and a lot of good comics. Thanks, Dan!
Which brings us to the end of Jurgen's latest set of adventures with his creation: Blue and Gold #8, hitting the shelves of your Local Comic Shop this week!

If you're eager for a look at the first few pages, AIPT.com has a preview, but you'll have to read the whole book to find out who the Black Beetle really is!

Buy this issue and make Skeets happy!
(Sneak peek courtesy longtime Booster booster Chris Aguinaldo, who traveled forward in time to get his hands on a copy early but *still* won't tell me who Black Beetle is!)

New Release: Flashpoint Beyond Zero
While our hero doesn't actually appear on the pages within, this week's Flashpoint Beyond #0 can be considered Booster Gold-adjacent thanks to the inclusion of Rip Hunter's famous chalkboard of hints.

words by Geoff Johns; art by Eduardo Russo, Trish Mulvihill, Rob Leigh
Hunter's chalkboard made it's first appearance in 52 Week Six (written in part by Geoff Johns) and could be seen frequently in Booster Gold Volume 2 (written in part by Geoff Johns). That Geoff Johns sure knows a good idea when he sees one!
A variant of the Silver Age Rip Hunter and his team of Time Masters will clearly be playing a key role in Flashpoint Beyond as it goes forward. The zero issue also makes several references to other famous DC Universe time-travelers, such as Chronos, Abra Kadabra, and Professor Zoom. Of course, the original Flashpoint story was all about the chaos unintentionally unleashed by a time-traveling Flash, and the only DC Universe hero other than Flash to visit the Flashpoint Timeline was Booster Gold (in Booster Gold #44).
Will we see Booster in future issues of this mini-series? Only time will tell.

Old New Old Release: Teen Titans Academy Vol 1
Booster Gold made only the tiniest appearance in Teen Titans Academy #4, but it was a pretty cool one.
The headshot you see in the above panel originated as a Cort Carpenter commission (for his Booster Gold Sketchbook, 'natch) from artist Steve Lieber, and Lieber later incorporated the piece into the issue in that issue's art.

If knowing that makes you also want to support Lieber's work, you should also know that issue #4 (and an even briefer peek in the following issue) should be now available at your Local Comic Shop as part of the Teen Titans Academy Volume 1: X Marks the Spot reprint collection.
Support your favorite artists!
