February Coming Attractions
DC released February 2026 solicitations on Friday, and there are three things of note.
1) First and foremost, and this is technically an "April Coming Attraction," they finally solicited direct market retailers for the third and final volume of Booster's 2007 series announced earlier this year prior to Comic-Con International 2025:
BOOSTER GOLD: THE COMPLETE 2007 SERIES BOOK THREE
Written by DAN JURGENS, KEITH GIFFEN, and J.M. DeMATTEIS
Art by DAN JURGENS and CHRIS BATISTA, Cover by KEVIN MAGUIRE
$39.99 US, 520 pages, ON SALE 4/14/26Booster is back in the past! Mistaken for his (past) self, he is roped into an adventure with the Justice League International! Enjoying the good old days with his bestie Blue Beetle, he must contend with the needs of his past self and the horrors of the present. And when the entire world is undone, will Booster be the only one to remember what the DCU used to be like before the Flash messed it all up?! Collects Booster Gold #32-47 and Time Masters: Vanishing Point #1-6.
2) For a "short" event, DC K.O. will be moving into its fifth month dominating DC's publishing schedule in February, and to no one's great surprise, Booster Gold will be playing some role in DC K.O. #4 (presumably in the "interlude"?):
DC K.O. #4
Written by SCOTT SNYDER, Art and cover by JAVI FERNÁNDEZ
Interlude written by JOSHUA WILLIAMSON, Interlude art by XERMANICO
$5.99 US, Variant $5.99 US, ON SALE 2/11/26
Three mysterious new Omega-charged fighters have entered the tournament… and this trinity of the Absolute will change the face of the DCU forever! It’s all down to how far the final four are willing to go to win in the penultimate chapter of DC K.O.! Plus: Booster’s true allegiance revealed, Darkseid's return foretold, and a bonkers last page that will bring the battle to the next level!
3) This third one is a bit of speculation, but based on the solicited cover, it looks like we might be one step closer to reuniting with Skeets in Flash #30.
THE FLASH #30
Written by MARK WAID and CHRISTOPHER CANTWELL
Art by VASCO GEORGIEV, Cover by DAN MORA
$3.99 US, ON SALE 2/25/26
The Speedsters’ race through time has led them to an encounter with a Darkseid from the past, and their escape leads them to a shocking reunion!

You can't trust DC's covers to give any indication of the interior content anymore, but as you can see in that solicitation image, that's ugly-costume Flash and Impulse reaching for Rocky Davis and Ulitvac there on the Dan Mora cover. When we last saw Rocky back in April in the abrupt cliffhanger ending to the Challengers of the Unknown mini-series (written Christopher Cantwell, wink, wink), he was saved from death and trapped in the past with a vision of Skeets. My fingers are crossed that we'll finally find out what the future's best sidekick has been up to since disappearing way back in 2024's DC All In Special.
You can find the full list of solicitations at aiptcomics.com.

New Release: DC KO 1
DC's latest event book, DC K.O. #1, arrives at your Local Comic Shop today. According to preview pages at BleedingCool.com, Booster Gold is in it.
He is also on it. He can be seen fighting Jaime Reyes on the back of Scott Koblish's wraparound cover.

The bad news is this cover, officially "Cover L Scott Koblish DC Showcase Wraparound Foil Variant," just one of 45 that I am aware of, has a cover price of $24.99, the highest of all the non-incentive variant covers. (Technically, the incentive variants have no price on their covers, so I guess you could say they are all "priceless.")
And lest you think that you can circumvent that price point by gambling on getting the Cover N Scott Koblish Blind Bag Foil Variant in a $9.99 polybagged "Blind Bag," beware that the Blind Bag version is the Booster Gold-free front cover only. So $25 or bust if you're collecting Booster Gold covers.
Buy this issue and make Skeets happy (if only because it gets us one step closer to finding out where Skeets is).

Who Gets the Black Costume This Time?
Insiders have been teasing future plans in the lead-up to next week's Comic-Con International 2025, and it looks like after the Summer of Superman concludes, readers will next be treated to the Fall of DC.
Marvel Comics' new 12-issue maxi-series The Secret War will be "one of the most significant events in Marvel history ever" promises Marvel Editor-in-Chief Jim Shooter. Shooter will write the book, in which a number of permanent and temporary changes will be made in many of the major Marvel super-heroes and super-villains.
Oh, wait. Sorry. That was the announcement of was eventually published under the title Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars as it originally appeared in The Comics Journal #85 in 1983.
What I meant to post was the story that The Hollywood Reporter broke this past Wednesday.
Scott Snyder, the writer behind best-selling sensation Absolute Batman, and Joshua Williamson, who writes Superman, are the co-architects of what is being called DC K.O., the story initiative that will debut this fall and run through a main book as well as ripple out through various titles across the DC Universe. Javi Fernández (Batman & Robin, King Spawn) will draw the main series that is being described as a slugfest to end all slugfests. “DC K.O. is a knock-down, drag-out fight between all your favorite DC super heroes in a cosmic tournament to save the universe from Darkseid,” said Snyder in a statement.
Just heroes fighting heroes, then? It's not Marvel's 1984 Secret Wars; it's DC's 2007 Countdown: Arena (or 2015 Convergence). At least no one has actually read those.
Over at BleedingCool.com's article on this announcement is this description of the upcoming event:
While the battles are epic, the emotional center lies with Superman. "Metal was a Batman story, Death Metal was a Wonder Woman story—and DC K.O. is a Superman story," said Williamson. "I wanted to tell a story about Superman looking into his own heart of darkness," said Snyder. "It's a very personal story wrapped in nine layers of candy exploding in your face."
Call me a grumpy old man, but I really do not ever want any layers of exploding face candy.
As this is a Booster Gold fan site and not a general comics blog, I wouldn't be snarking at this groundbreaking news at all if not for the graphic that accompanied the article. See if you can see what I saw. Hint: he's inside the golden circle (fighting Blue Beetle).

AIPTComics.com has identified that art as a crop of the Scott Koblish wraparound variant cover for DC K.O. #1. (Koblish has been doing a lot of those sorts of crowd scene covers lately. They must sell well. I admit I'm buying them; I'll buy any comic with Captain Carrot or Red Bee on it. What can I say? I'm a nature lover.)
Despite not actually being mentioned in the text of any of these articles (by accident or design?), Booster Gold also appears on a couple of other covers in the AIPT Comics article. The first is an alternate cover for Superman #31, which presumably concludes the storyline beginning in next week's Superman #28 as was teased back in May.
The second is the main cover for the one-shot special Justice League: The Omega Act #1. (Booster and Skeets also appear on a variant.) The cover by Pete Woods homages the classic cover of Crisis on Infinite Earths #7, you know, the one where Superman cradles a dead Supergirl, this time with Booster Gold in place of Supergirl. Uh oh. If I may quote SLW:
I mean, you can't be a fan of Booster's without acknowledging the fact that he's kind of the DCU's punching bag, but come on.
So be sure to tell your Local Comic Shop to hold at least one of each of these for you when DC K.O. and its many tie-ins begin arriving in stores this October. They may be your last chance to see Booster Gold alive.
(Thanks, Tiffany. Despite my cynicism and crushing event fatigue—maybe I really have been reading comics for too long—it really will all be worth it if Booster gets a match against "Apokolips Now" variant Superman. That guy sent Booster to an alternate universe and forgot about him! Grr.)

Coming Soon: Superman #30
Judging by how many people wrote to tell me about this, I assume most of you already know. But for posterity's sake, this was in the DC Solicitations for September 2025:

SUPERMAN #30
Written by JOSHUA WILLIAMSON
Art and cover by DAN MORA
$4.99 US | 32 pages | ON SALE 9/24/25
Superman has found the mysterious hero known as Booster Gold. Together, they must return to the present day to warn the Justice League, but Darkseid’s Legion stands in the way. The shocking events of this issue lead into next month’s massive next chapter in the all in saga!!
We already had reason to believe that Booster would be seen in Superman #28 in July, when this storyline begins. Should we also expect to see our hero in Superman #29? I guess we'll know in August.
It should be noted that DC has also solicited for The Human Target: The Deluxe Edition hardcover, which we already know includes Booster Gold, so we can keep an eye out for that this November.
You can read these and all the other solicitations at AIPTComics.com.
Thanks to all who made sure I didn't miss this.

Gone to the Dogs
In addition to last week's August solicitations, a couple of Booster boosters also made sure I saw a recently revealed variant cover to a comic coming much sooner. Specifically, this $4.99 Lucas Meyer card stock variant cover for Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #1:

See the Blue and Gold corgis there in the top left? SLW calls it a "Booster cameo as a corgi" while pigeon described "a corgi dressed as Booster." So which is it?
You might think that's a stupid question, but in Wonder Woman #9, the Super Sons were turned into corgis by Circe. So is this more of that? Or is this an imaginary story? Or is this just a dog Trick-or-Treating as Booster Gold?
Judging by the preview pages at icv2.com, these corgis are the Justice Leaguers of a doomed alternate Earth during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Because things like those have to exist somewhere in an infinite Multiverse. (And yeah, although Booster Gold famously didn't exist in the DCU until after Crisis, somewhere in an infinite Multiverse, he did. That's what "infinite" means.)
Thanks to all who brought this to my attention.
