Born Again Again
Newsarama.com has DC Comics' December solicitations, and I'm sorry to report that Booster Gold continues to be the one character from Heroes in Crisis who hasn't gotten his own title. What's up with that, DC?
It's not all bad news, however. DC has confirmed a new reprint of the early Justice League International issues.
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL BOOK ONE: BORN AGAIN TP
written by KEITH GIFFEN, J.M. DeMATTEIS, and JOHN OSTRANDER
art by KEVIN MaGUIRE, KEITH GIFFEN, LUKE McDONNELL and others
cover by KEVIN MAGUIRE and TERRY AUSTIN
In these 1980s tales, find out what happens when Batman, Superman, and the Justice League face a galactic invasion fleet known as the Cluster, exchange harsh words with Lobo, track Mister Miracle back to Apokolips, and then battle yet another invasion fleet! Collects Justice League #1-6, Justice League International #7-17, Justice League Annual #1, Justice League International Annual #2, and Suicide Squad #13.
ON SALE January 15, $39.99 US, 552 PAGES
Those are a lot of great comics. If you haven't read these issues — and even if you have — you should consider picking up this collection using modern printing techniques. Despite what Dan DiDio says, those early Justice League International stories are great comics.
Speaking of Heroes in Crisis spin-offs, Booster booster Logan alerts us to an appearance in today's releases.
I was afforded a sneak-peak of Flash Forward #1 at my store, and I can report that Booster makes an appearance in the issue. It's a brief one, but it's Booster! :)
Always good to know Booster's coming. Thanks, Logan.

New Release: DCeased A Good Day to Die 1
Today's DCeased: A Good Day to Die #1 is a one-shot spin-off of Tom Taylor's DCeased mini-series. DCeased is a zombie story set in an alternate DC Universe. Don't expect anyone to make it out alive.
The book has four solicited covers, none of which includes Booster Gold. I'd consider that an especially bad sign for our hero.
Speaking of covers, also released today is Legion of Super Heroes Millennium #1. It, too, has multiple covers, one of which is half of the double-cover that will pair with the cover to October's issue #2 that has Booster Gold front and center. If you plan on completing the set (drawn by artist Bryan Hitch and previewed here), you might want to go ahead and pick that up.
Buy any one or more of those covers and make Skeets happy, at least so long as Skeets is capable of happiness. The vector for the DCeased zombie outbreak is digital technology, so not even Skeets is safe. (Gulp!)

New Old Release: Grayson Omnibus
If you're looking for Booster Gold appearances in your Local Comic Shop today, you'll find him in the Grayson The Superspy Omnibus, reprinting Grayson #1 where Booster's headshot is seen in a bank of monitors.

That monitor reappears in issues #2 and #6 (where the only part unobstructed by a second monitor is Booster's hair!).
Whether those three appearances are worth $99.99 for this omnibus is up to you. I mean, I guess you could read the rest of the pages if you wanted, but without Booster Gold, why bother?

New OId Release: Injustice 2 Vol 6
As mentioned last week, you'll find Booster Gold in today's Batman: Last Knight on Earth #2, at least in a very small cameo. If you want more Booster, you can also pick up the hardcover Injustice 2 Volume 6 for $24.99.

Included in this final collection are Injustice 2 #31 through #33. Be forewarned, things do not go well for our hero in Tom Taylor's video-game inspired universe. However, our hero makes his final adventure as satisfyingly poignant as it is entertaining. Plus, he gets a cool jacket as a parting gift.
And while we're on the subject of new releases, Rob Snow reports that DC is planning a collection of Conglomerate stories reprinted from Justice League Quarterly. Per the preorder link he found at Amazon.com:
For the first time since its original publication, Keith Giffen's Justice League Quarterly brings a quirky and unique take on the Justice League!
Introducing the Conglomerate, a new super-team assembled by Booster Gold! Booster's new pals and gals are Maxi-Man, Praxis, Gypsy, Echo, Vapor and Reverb, but pretty soon Booster's got to wonder if their industry backers want them to be heroes...or corporate puppets.
Collects stories from Justice League Quarterly #1-4.
The book hasn't yet been announced by DC, but that doesn't mean it's not coming. Rob spotted the upcoming Booster Gold collection on Amazon about a month before DC announced that, too. You've preordered yours already, right?
Thanks to Rob for finding those links for us. (Seriously, man, I swear I looked.)

New Old Release: Doomsday Clock 9 (2nd Print)
In case you missed Booster's cameo appearance in Doomsday Clock #9 the first time around, you're getting a second chance with the second printing in stores today.
Or you could just look at these panels.
According to Chomicchron.com, the first printing of that issue — the ninth in the mini-series — sold 120,079 copies, which is more than any but the first issue of Heroes in Crisis. That means more people have seen Booster blasted by Doctor Manhattan than Booster accused of killing the Flash. I'd say that's a good thing.
Meanwhile, if you are in your Local Comic Shop today, let me recommend everything in DC's Wonder Comics line, especially Mark Russell's Wonder Twins. I wish Bendis paced his stories to let more happen in an individual issue, but Young Justice and Naomi are also pretty good reads. Skeets won't have a problem if you buy any of those issues.
