I noticed that for your entry under "Other Media" for Justice League Unlimited "The Greatest Story Never Told", there wasn't a mention of the characters that Booster meets in the story. Particularly Tracy Simmons, as she becomes Booster's date at the end of the episode.

First of all, thanks for noticing! I've put a lot of work into Boosterrific.com, and it's always good to hear that someone has found some value in it.

More importantly, you're right. I didn't mention Tracy in my synopsis of that episode. I omitted that data on purpose, partly because I was interested in avoiding spoilers, and partly because I was interested in strictly limiting the information in the Other Media summaries to just a couple of sentences at most. Maybe I was wrong to make that decision.

Boosterrific.com was created for and remains dedicated to tracking the adventures of Booster Gold that appear in comic books published by DC Comics, in other words, the adventures of Booster Gold in the traditional DC Universe (DCU). I decided to track appearances in other media, like television and video games in an effort to provide a comprehensive guide of the where our hero can be found.

However, I don't always have the same interest in other media as I have for comic books, so I have rarely made the effort to catalog Booster's Other Media appearances as thoroughly as I do comics. That may be a bit of a disservice to Booster and his fans, but I have to draw the line somewhere, and that's where it is.

If you're interested in more information about Booster's participation in the excellent Justice League Unlimited episodes, I recommend the DCAU Wiki (dcau.fandom.com) which has done a great job covering them, including "The Greatest Story Never Told."

So apologies to the highly esteemed S.T.A.R. Labs physicist Dr. Tracy Simmons, who probably always should have been mentioned in my my Other Media post for "The Greatest Story Never Told." Maybe one of these days I'll make it up for it with a spotlight post here on the blog as the only DC-sanctioned outside-of-comics romantic interest for Booster Gold.

Last week, I mentioned as one of the reasons that I still liked single-issue floppies was in large part because I love the cover art. That conditioning led me to do something yesterday that I almost never do: I paid far more than cover price just to buy a variant cover, and it doesn't have anything to do with Booster Gold.

Can... not... resist....

See that price tag? The last time I spent $40 on a comic book, I got the second best Booster Gold trade collection ever printed. And the time before that, I got the best Booster Gold trade collection ever printed.

As satisfied as I am to have an Art Adams-drawn Captain Carrot cover (and I consider $40 a small price to pay against the amount I would have paid over the past 3 decades if DC had chosen to give me any ongoing Zoo Crew comics), I do have to admit that the Booster Gold trades were money better spent.

This is not new. It was created waaay back in 2013, and I found it while looking for art to use for my Blue and Gold #ConnectedTogether Social Distance PSA. I haven't run it before, and I like it. I think maybe you'll like it, too.

The lines are by RB Silva and the color is by Mat Lopez, who posted it to his account on DeviantArt.com.

I like to imagine that Booster is telling Beetle a joke to cheer him up, but it's equally likely the boys are celebrating the destruction of that annoying office printer that always jams. (You know the one!) With these two, you can never tell.

You may have noticed that Modinda dropped by the comments in Wednesday's post to chastise me for my omission of a six-year-old comic from the Boosterrific.com database. Could I really have been ignorant of a Booster Gold comic appearance from as long ago as 2014? The answer is yes.

Set your eyes on this panel, from Scribblenauts Unmasked: A Crisis of Imagination #6:

That's obviously Nu52 Booster Gold (and original Skeets) partaking in a reference to the famous "one-punch" from Justice League #5. How could I have missed that?

That panel is just a small fraction of a delightful two-page spread, by the way. (It did my heart good to see the Dibnys back together!) A very belated kudos to issue artist Adam Archer.

Rest assured that the now-more-complete-than-ever-before Boosterrific.com database has been updated to include both Scribblenauts Unmasked: A Crisis of Imagination #6 and the series collected edition. Yesterday, I woke to an email from Booster booster Logan Peterson, who had spotted Booster Gold making a cameo appearance at the end of Batman Beyond #47 in anticipation of his guest-starring role next month!

Well, if Batman doesn't exist, DC will be out of comic books, so you'd better get to work, Booster.

Is it just me, or is it starting to seem that Booster Gold has a new role in the DCnU as the harbinger of series cancellation? He showed up as the new boyfriend of Harley Quinn just in time for that series to be canceled. Before that, he played a key role in Action Comics immediately prior to all the storylines of that series being abandoned to whatever it was that Brian Michael Bendis wanted to do. And now he's guest starring in Batman Beyond, a series already announced to be canceled at issue #50 in December.

The Justice League currently has its hands full with Perpetua and Laughing Batman, but maybe they should be more worried about Booster Gold, who may soon be coming to end an ongoing series near them.

Anyway, thanks for the info, Logan. Everyone buy that issue and make Skeets happy!
