Crystal Ball Gazing
Booster was on the cover(s) of last week's Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special #1. Before that, he had a two panel appearance in the digital-only Taste of Justice #3. Before that, he had a line in the Superman Treasury 2025: Hero for All #1. All of which means that the last time Booster Gold was seen in an in-continuity DCU tale was six weeks ago in Superman #27.
So.... When do we think we'll see him next?
I haven't seen anything to make me think Booster is in any of today's comics. Given that the special guest star teased for Superman #28 was *not* Booster Gold, I can't say as I'm expecting him in Superman #29 on August 27, unless maybe he makes a last-page cameo appearance. Booster is definitely in the solicitation text and cover art for the September 24 Superman #30, but based on the bait-and-switch pulled by Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special, I won't actually believe he's in there until I read it.
I am confident he'll be in New History of the DC Universe #3 covering DC's output in the 1980s and '90s. That issue was announced for August 27 but now has been delayed until September 10. That's five weeks away.
Eleven weeks between Booster Gold DCU appearances feels like a long time, but certainly Booster Gold fans have waited longer. I guess if that really bothers me, I can always start buying Batman comics again. There's never any shortage of Batman.

New Release: Justice League: Dark Tomorrow #1
Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special #1 arrives in your Local Comic Shop today, and Booster Gold is on not one, not two, but three of the covers! (The fourth is Gold Beetle!) You can see them all here.
AIPTComics.com has the preview in which we learn that Waverider is once again Mathew Ryder, and he dies. (Again. He dies a lot in these big, universe-threatening events. He seems to be made to suffer. It's his lot in life.)
But I'm sure you don't need to see that preview to know you want a copy (or three). Buy multiple covers of this issue and make Skeets very happy!
UPDATE: I don't understand. DC puts Booster Gold on all the covers, then doesn't actually put him in the book. (It really wants readers to believe that "Legend" is Booster Gold, but those clues just don't add up.) I guess you got me to buy extra copies of your comic, DC, but I'm not happy about it, and I'm certainly less inclined to do it again.

New Release: Superman Treasury 2025
SLW writes
You probably already know, but our boy got on panel three times in the Superman Treasury edition. Which hey, at least in some timeline he's not erased from existence!
Which, in fact, I did not know. Although, since Dan Jurgens is the writer, I probably should have expected.
Officially, the treasury sized book is titled Superman Treasury 2025: Hero For All #1. There are multiple covers (including one by Dan Jurgens), none of which feature Booster Gold, that are priced at $14.99. Personally, I chose the Scott Koblish (CVR C) because it includes Captain Carrot, but you do you when you go to your Local Comic Shop and buy this issue to make Skeets happy.
Thanks, SLW!

New Release: New History of the DCU 1
If you have read the preview of today's New History of the DC Universe #1 (available at AIPTComics.com, among other places), you may have noticed on the very first panel of the very first page a very familiar... well, "face" is definitely the wrong word:

There, on the left, it's Skeets!
(And many, many other treasures looted from the Justice League trophy room, including Superman's cape, Green Arrow's bow, Jack O'Lantern's lantern, Wild Dog's mask, Zatara's top hat, Blue Beetle's BB Gun, Kanjar Ro's Scepter, the Key's key, the Orb of Ra, Magog's staff, Star Man's Cosmic Rod, the original Red Tornado's helmet, the Guardian's shield, the Red Jar of Calythos, the Green Bell of Utholl, the Silver Wheel of Nyorlath, two Legion Flight Rings, Captain Cold's mask, the Book of Eternity, Elongated Man's Gingold, Batman's batarangs, a couple of other things I don't recognize, and I'm sure that's not all. I mean, the whole history of the DCU has to be in there somewhere.)
Thanks to all who made sure I saw this.
Buy this issue and make Skeets happy.
UPDATE: As you can see from the comments, Booster also makes an unexpected cameo appearance in Superman #27 and Flash #22. So buy those, too.

New Release: Corgi Booster Gold
Reminder: today's the day that you can get your hands on Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #1 with the previously mentioned Booster Gold corgi on the cover.
While you're at your Local Comic Shop, you might want to consider checking out Action Comics #1087, which features a guest appearance by Booster Gold's 25th-century employer, the Space Museum (as can be seen in the preview available at AIPTcomics.com).
And as if that's not enough excitement for one day, be aware that also out today is Fire and Ice: When Hell Freezes Over #3, which makes it explicitly clear that "I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League" (long treated as an out-of-continuity tale) in JL Classified in 2005 is canon in the modern Rebirth-era DCU.

words by Joanne Starer, pictures by Stephen Byrne, editorial note by (presumably) Andrea Shea
Now if only we could get Booster Gold himself to actually appear in a comic book again...
