Booster Gold vs Iron Man: Fight!
What If... DC and Marvel had a crossover and all the fight scenes were arm wrestling matches? It might look a little something like this:
I don't care if he is "Invincible," there is no way that old drunk Tony Stark could beat college quarterback Booster Gold in an arm wrestling contest. I'm just saying.
For the record, niteowlfanatic had a wedding where all the guests dressed like superheroes? Yeah, that's awesome. Very awesome, indeed.

The Big Picture
It's hard to tell how well Justice League of America #1 sales have gone overall. I suspect that since DC isn't crowing about how great they have been, they can't find anything to crow about. It certainly looks like Boosterrific readers didn't buy into the hype.
Last week's poll question: How many copies of Justice League of America did you buy? (44 votes)
I haven't been subtle about my dissatisfaction with the New 52. However, I'm willing to admit that it could be a case of new tricks for this old dog. Now that it's been a year and a half, what's your opinion of the New 52?

If You Can Read This, This Website Is Working
Earlier this week, I warned visitors to the Forum that the server host for Boosterrific.com was planning on upgrading some defenses that would hopefully stop a plague of invalid server requests that were growing to the level of a denial-of-service attack.

As a side effect of this server maintenance, it is highly likely that Boosterrific.com will experience some significant downtime today. It seems like I say this a lot, but I apologize in advance for the disruption in service.
Hopefully we'll be back tomorrow, stronger than ever.

Dressing Up for Emerald City Comicon 2013
Booster Gold may be missing in action in the DCnU, but he's still attending comic book conventions!
The photo of the unknown cosplayer above was taken by Tony "G-Man" Guerrero at Emerald City Comicon 2013 this past weekend. It is but one of his many great pics of great cosplayers you can find online at comicvine.com.

Breaking News!
Seattle, Washington, played host to the annual Emerald City Comicon this past weekend. Fortunately for us, Comics Beat writer Todd Allen attended the "DC Comics: The New 52" panel on Friday, and liveblogged this bit of Q&A between an audience member and the panel:
Q: What happened to Booster Gold?
A: Stay tuned.
"Stay tuned"? That's an official response from the DC representatives? As reporter Kiel Phegley explains at Comic Book Resources:
A frequent joke within the room was when the panel would respond with a purposeful "Stay tuned" to fan questions as if to indicate that, yes, their picks for more revivals were on the way. Queries that earned a "stay tuned" included the possibility of an "Earth 2" spinoff series, a return of Booster Gold and a series for the Atom.
Well, that is more encouraging! I guess if we want to find out more, we'll just have to stay tuned.
