Newsarama.com has DC Comics' December solicitations, and I'm sorry to report that Booster Gold continues to be the one character from Heroes in Crisis who hasn't gotten his own title. What's up with that, DC?

It's not all bad news, however. DC has confirmed a new reprint of the early Justice League International issues.

Those are a lot of great comics. If you haven't read these issues — and even if you have — you should consider picking up this collection using modern printing techniques. Despite what Dan DiDio says, those early Justice League International stories are great comics.

Speaking of Heroes in Crisis spin-offs, Booster booster Logan alerts us to an appearance in today's releases.

I was afforded a sneak-peak of Flash Forward #1 at my store, and I can report that Booster makes an appearance in the issue. It's a brief one, but it's Booster! :)

Newsarama.com reports that the previously solicited Booster Gold: The Big Fall hardcover reprinting the first twelve issues of Booster Gold will be delayed.

It was originally scheduled to ship at the end of this month, but apparently it won't show up in your Local Comic Shop until the day before Thanksgiving, November 27. We'll go ahead and give thanks that the only thing that appears to have changed is the shipping date. The content is still advertised as 320 pages for $39.99, including "design material, unpublished story pages and more."

If you haven't already told your LCS to order a copy for you, what are you waiting for? There's no time like the present!

DC waited until Comic Con was over to release their October solicitations. There's not much Booster Gold to be seen except for Booster's previously announced gust-starring Legion of Super-Heroes appearance.

It's unclear what the alternate cover will be, but Booster doesn't appear on Ryan Sook's solicited cover. (It's a nice cover, about as good as covers without Booster Gold get.)

We already got a good look at some of Nicola Scott's interior art back in June, art that demonstrates Booster will be joined by some old friends.

It's certainly something to look forward to.

It's a little early for DC comics September solicitations, but IGN is already reporting that we should expect to see Booster Gold in at least one comic this fall. Too bad he probably won't survive it.

While I'm no fan of DC's super-bleak alternate universes — there has to be an endpoint to how grim 'n' gritty a comic universe can get, right? — I do have a great deal of respect for writer Tom Taylor's characterization. As a spin off of a video game, Injustice doesn't feel much like a DC story, but Taylor's characters are easily recognizable as the heroes who survived dozens of other Crises. That's considerably more than we got out of the last nine months of Heroes in Crisis.

So although I'm not eager for another zombie invasion, there's always room in my collection for more Elseworlds comics with the "real" Blue and Gold. Even if they will inevitably get their brains eaten.

And hey, at least it's only a one-shot.

DC has released August solicitations, and as expected, Booster Gold volume 1 is getting a full color reprint!
