Injustice League
While we were distracted by Booster Gold's team-ups in Action Comics and the announced Batman #45, we missed Booster's other ongoing partnership with Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes return to the digital pages of Injustice 2.
In Injustice 2 Chapter Forty-One, Booster and Jamie's training is interrupted by the arrival of the late Ted Kord's lawyer.

Injustice 2 Chapter Forty-One by Tom Taylor, Daniel Samoere, Rex Lokus, Wes Abbott
The scene is both touching and laugh-out-loud funny. Good job by writer Tom Taylor.
Though Booster's participation is only half of the chapter, it's easily worth spending 99¢ for the whole thing on Comixology.com.
For Booster boosters who still prefer to get newsprint on your hands, you can read this story when it arrives in your Local Comic Shop on March 21 as Injustice 2 #21 for $2.99.

Back to the Booster Cave
Just as Booster Gold's time with Superman is winding down, DC announces the party is continuing with Batman!
From April solicitations released earlier this week:
BATMAN #45
Written by TOM KING
Art by TONY S. DANIEL and SANDU FLOREA
Cover by TONY S. DANIEL
Variant cover by OLIVIER COIPEL
"THE TRAVELERS" part one! Booster Gold has come to Gotham City, and he's enlisting Batman and Catwoman to go on a time-traveling mission to rescue . . . Booster Gold!
It seems a younger Booster Gold has gone back in time to kidnap an even younger version of himself, and to rescue his own past, Booster must pursue both of his previous incarnations through Batman's history to find out what is going on.
The start of a new story that will sow the seeds for a whole new epic to come—and also the return of Master Class artist Tony S. Daniel (DAMAGE) to BATMAN!
On sale APRIL 18 • $2.99 US
This story must be what Tom King was hinting at on Twitter earlier this month.
Buckle up, Booster boosters, 2018 is the year of Booster Gold!

New Release: Action Comics 996
The Superman/Booster Gold team-up continues in today's Action Comics #996.
"Booster Shot" Part 4 is the first not to feature Booster on both covers. Therefore, it's okay if you buy only one copy this week. (The "variant" cover with Booster Gold is by Dustin Nguyen).
Go to DenOfGeek.com to read the preview, then go to your Local Comic Shop to buy the issue and make Skeets happy!
(Relax and enjoy your Action Comics today. We'll discuss DC's April solicitations on Friday.)

Some Fashions Never Go out of Style
It was announced over the weekend that Action Comics #1000 will restore Superman's red trunks.
I think it's great that DC is finally restoring the traditional Superman look most strongly associated with the character. Say what you will about looking to the future, but when you've been wearing one costume for the better part of 80 years, people sort of expect to see you wearing that costume. Truth and Justice don't change, so I don't see why the American Way should, either. Right is right if nobody's right, and Superman's red trunks are just right.
Now that we've fixed Superman, we can we move on to more important things. Like restoring Booster Gold's long-lost high collar!

(Conglomerate leather jacket is optional.)
Don't worry, oblong Skeets. Once we get the collar back, you're next.

Happy 70th Birthday, Joe Staton
Though he has drawn almost everything over the course of his incredible career in funny books, I most associate artist Joe Staton with the Green Lantern Corps (especially Guy Gardner).
And, of course, with 1988's Millennium mini-series.

Say what you will about Millennium and its place in DC's steady parade of "no really, this one's important!" events, but at least Millennium reserved a prominent role for Booster Gold in his first big company-wide event. (And then was used as an excuse to cancel his series. So a mixed bag there overall.)
Thanks for helping introduce Booster Gold to the masses, Joe.
