Love the final product... but for some reason I gotta admit, I kinda also dig the simpler coloring on the left.<br />Reminds me of simpler times (and comics) and how most Euro-comics look (colorists tend to avoid shading and gradients over here)<br />It looks kinda "classic".<br /><br />(but the atmosphere is amazing on the right)

Not the biggest fan of hi-fi but as a Booster Gold fan I'm stuck with them. However, this cover is good. Looks like the Perforated Man upgraded his regular shank on the left to some kind of energy/plasma shank on the right, Booster better be careful! I bet they do the same color change to the cover of issue #44, Jurgens' return.

Booster and the Perforated Man look good but the rest of the cover looks horrible with the computer colors. Comics in general need to go back to simple or we're going to wind up with ugly chromium covers or worse.

I much prefer the hi-fi cover. I like how the red-grey background sets the mood and brings the focus to the main characters. I like the shiny highlights to BG's costume and the glow added to PM. I guess I am not much for nostalgia.

The first image is only flatted, it's only in the first stage of coloring process, prepared for the main colorist, who later changed the flats to proper colors and then added rendering and special effects.<br />I don't like the chromium gradient in the background either, people at Hi-Fi usually do better work.

That. is. awesome! I want that shirt in the real world. I may be getting a biased view, but it seems Booster has a particularly prominent role in this game. I wonder if it will add to his general popularity and sales. Is there content that reveals his Time Masters connection?

I don't know that Booster is any more prominent than, say, Lex Luthor or Batman, but he is far more accessible (and personable!). There isn't a lot of humor in the game -- probably appropriate given that the main storyline is about Brainiac enslaving humanity -- so Booster's tongue-in-cheek exploration mission monologues really stand out.

Booster seems to be pretty popular amongst the players as evidenced by message board posts that I've read. I've certainly seen more players building tribute characters to Booster Gold than any other single character, (but that may only be because I'm looking for them).

Booster was probably planning to have the movie made into a live-action show, you know, like the Lion King. Or he was thinking there was more money to be had in a movie franchise than in theatre productions.

Is Jonah Hex really good? (I've always heard good things about Simone, so I'm assuming SS is above par.) I'm still miffed that it's still hanging on while R.E.B.L.E.S. and Doom Patrol are getting the ax by DC. With his runs on both Booster Gold and Doom Patrol ending, what is Giffen going to do now?

@Kate <br />I've been following Jonah Hex since day1 of his reboot and I love it!<br />I never expected to dig a comic book series as much...but now I've got all single TPB released, even a recent archive of some classic Jonah stories (not canon anymore) and that Graphic novel from last year.<br />It's a pretty consistent good on-going series. Most issues are self-contained tales of how the DC universe was in the old west (there's allusions to places like Gotham, Ivy Town, etc..). The character was a bit weird at first (in an antipathetic anti-hero way) but he grew on me~<br />Also they try to use various artists such as European comic book artists (Jordi Bernet,..), indie artists, etc.. It's a great way to show some nice talent that wouldn't made it into american mainstream comics otherwise!

I think JONAH HEX is good. It's the sort of western comic so popular in yesteryear that no one makes anymore. I don't buy every issue, but I've never been disappointed when I chose to pick it up.
