Two weeks ago, when I posted a link to some Booster Gold-inspired punk rock, Eskana dropped by the comments with a YouTube link to a song called "The Ballad of Booster Gold".

This "little ditty of mediocrity," as it is described, has been online for over a year. It's from the album Music From My Bedroom Walls published by AcousTic Media Productions and credited to Jacob Pence.

How much other Booster Gold-inspired music is out there that I don't know about? It's starting to look like quite a bit.

DC Comics Co-Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee hasn't drawn Booster Gold often — the cover of Infinite Crisis #5 is the only instance I'm aware of — so we should celebrate it when we see it. Therefore, for any Booster booster who isn't following me on Twitter and hasn't seen this yet, check it out:

Lee didn't just tweet the finished product. He twitched himself drawing it! It took over three hours beginning to end, and you can watch every minute in these videos on YouTube:

Booster booster CDN points our attention to a YouTube video from whatculture.com, where Booster Gold has managed to make his way near the top of another list, this time for comics characters with the best motivations.

Booster Gold starts near the 8:00 minute mark

It seems to me that despite not having his own comic, Booster Gold appears to be pretty well known and much more widely respected these days than in years past. That's probably thanks mostly to his being included prominently in recent Batman and Justice League cartoons in his "Greatest Hero You've Never Heard Of" time policeman persona.

To think that Booster, once a laughingstock and perennial B-lister, will be idolized by the upcoming generation of comics readers... that's pretty cool.

Pay careful attention inside the game's version of Blaze Comics, and you'll spot a LEGO recreation of Booster Gold Volume 1, #25. That's pretty Boosterrific!

DCComics.com released a "DC Tales From the Vault" episode promoting Batman on Tuesday, and it includes Batman Group Editor Jamie Rich reading his own fan letter published in Booster Gold #7 (1986).

Here's the original letter so that you can read along:

Rich wasn't named Batman Group Editor until April, and Tom King's referenced Booster Gold story, "The Gift," was already deep in production by then. So we won't judge Rich too harshly for that fiasco. (I refuse to believe that any OG Booster booster like Rich would have let King lobotomize our hero if he could have stopped him!)

You get a pass this time, Rich. But know that Booster Gold fans are watching you extra closely now!
