Gold and Blue Comic
I've lost track of the number of stories I've seen on the Internet repeating the news of the upcoming Blue and Gold series. But I've already seen exactly one person calling for the not-yet-announced-but-should-be pairing of the Gold and Blue.
I agree with George. I am ready to give DC Comics money to read that, too. (And judging by the number of people who think I should be tracking Gold Beetle appearances, I'm not the only one.)

The Real Disco Dazzler
It's been a good week for Booster Gold fans, made all the better if you were fortunate enough to bump into this sketch by Otto Schmidt on Twitter.
Now *that* is my kind of collar. Hail to the king, baby.

Red, Blue, and Gold
With tornadoes and fools now in the rear-view mirror, let's get back to what's really important around here: the awesome awesomeness of Booster Gold.
Last week while I was taking a forced sabbatical from the Internet, artist Michel Fiffe teased his upcoming story in the Superman: Red & Blue anthology with a step-by-step construction of this panel:

I love the fact that our golden hero will be appearing in glorious black and white — with flight ring *and* high collar! — in Superman's comic. Stealing Booster's color is probably a ploy by the Man of Steel to prevent Booster from outshining him. (Again.) The Rainbow Raider would be proud.
You can see the complete breakdown of Fiffe's panel art on Twitter.com. And you can buy a copy of Superman: Red & Blue #3 at your Local Comic Shop on May 18.

I'm Your Huckleberry
I've got a few things I want to say about Generations Forged, but I'm waiting until it's been out for at least a week so that I don't accidentally spoil anything for anyone. To a lesser extent, the same goes for Future State: Suicide Squad #2 too.
While we pass the time, let's all reminisce about that time Booster Gold travelled back to the Old West to match his fingergun draw speed against DC's Western hero, Nighthawk (and his partner, Cinnamon), an event immortalized in this old-timey long exposure photograph:

It looks improvised, but Booster had to hold that pose for 20 seconds!
Okay, so that's not a hundred-year-old sepia-toned photo but a commission from the incomparable Doc Shaner for Booster art collector The Happy Sorceress, recently shared via Twitter.com.
Photo or drawing, I'm sure you agree that whatever it is, it's Boosterrific!

A Pretty Good Placeholder
I was working on something else to post here today, but I ran out of time (or, more accurately, I overloaded on work).
In any event, by way of apology, I'm going to lean on Booster booster Cort, who recently added this piece, drawn by his friend, Julius-LZL, to his Booster Gold commission sketchbook:

This scene is a re-imagining of Booster Gold's first meeting with Doomsday, originally presented in Justice League America #69. If it had gone down this way in 1992, today we'd probably be calling Doomsday "Cupcake."
Thanks for bailing me out, Cort (especially since you didn't know that's what you'd be doing).
