A Streaming Pile
DC Comics' solicitations for December don't give Booster Gold fans much to talk about. (Heroes in Crisis #4 is delayed to January, and The New Teen Titans Omnibus Volume 4 reprinting New Teen Titans #29 and #30 won't ship until May). But blogs abhor a news vacuum. Therefore, let's dig into the Boosterrific fan mailbag for a question very much related to yesterday's poll question.
On Monday, Bob dropped by to ask
Boosterrific-did you get DC all access? and if so what do you think of it? I got it and it only has 12 issues of Booster Gold's 45 issue second run. It has none of the first run. And none of Rip Hunters -Time Masters. I am curious to know your thoughts.
Hi, Bob! First of all, I have to admit that I'm not an early adopter. I'm also a cheapskate. Therefore, I like to hear from friends and critics if something is going to be worth $8 a month before I buy in to the DC Universe streaming service. I found Mike Sterling's review on ProgressiveRuin.com helpful, but I'm still waiting for a thumbs-up from a couple of my die-hard DC-fan friends before taking the plunge myself.
That said, it still might be a while before I check it out. I got the impression that the service wasn't going to give me much I hadn't already seen, and so far, it looks like I was right. Sure, I like Super-Friends and Batman TAS, but I don't feel the need to pay to watch them for the dozenth time.
The highlight for me would be access to comics I haven't read (and don't own), and I might be more interested in the service once a better selection of DC's back catalog of comics is online. I've read waaay too many comic books to need someone to "curate" my options for me. (By the way, Bob, anyone can currently buy and read Booster Gold volume 1 online at Comixology.com. Is Booster Gold not good enough for your streaming service, DC?)
In other words, I get the impression that the service isn't for me, at least not yet. But I'm willing to be patient about it. Good content isn't time-sensitive.
UPDATE 2018-09-19: Booster makes brief appearances (kind of) in today's Harley Quinn #50 and Mister Miracle #11.

Rematch of Fights That Never Happened
Newsarama.com has the November solicitations for DC Comics, and it looks like we'll be getting another rematch between two of DC's best heroes.
HEROES IN CRISIS #3
written by TOM KING
art and cover by CLAY MANN
variant cover by RYAN SOOK
The Man of Steel versus...Booster Gold?! Superman finds out the hard way that Booster can be a formidable opponent when his back's against the wall. Of course, being the prime suspect in a superhero massacre and exposing a secret trauma hospital for metahumans will do just that. Meanwhile, Batman and the Flash combine their detective skills to investigate what went awry at Sanctuary and uncover a serious glitch in the system—not to mention an explosive, spoiler-ific secret!
ON SALE November 28 · $3.99
Russ Burlingame writes about what this solicitation means for the "who will die" aspect of this series at ComicBook.com. (Warning: Link could be considered to contain spoilers.) Since Russ has that angle covered, I'm going to focus on what's really important here: the fight between the Man of Steel and the Booster of Gold.
In Round One (Booster Gold #7, 1986), Superman (with a timely assist from Skeets) taught upstart Booster Gold a necessary lesson in how a hero acts.
In Round Two (Action Comics Annual #4, 1992), Booster was outclassed by Superman, who was at the time in the thrall of Eclipso.
In Round Three, (Booster Gold #8, 2008), Superman, this time controlled by Max Lord, ambushed and made short work of Booster and his makeshift team of Freedom Fighters.
Of course, all of those previous fights were wiped from history by Flashpoint, so Heroes in Crisis #3 isn't technically a rematch. (As pointed out by @FAdamF on Twitter, much of what happened before Flashpoint is still part of most characters' history thanks to Rebirth. Therefore, these fights did *technically* happen, even if no one quite remembers it.) Given Booster's dismal record in this match-up, that might be a good thing.
We'll find out if Booster can finally defeat the Metropolis Marvel this November.

DC Comics released October solicitations about a week late because of Comic Con. (Why weren't they released during Comic Con? You'll have to ask DC.) Booster Gold shows up in two books:

Meanwhile, [REDACTED] tries to make a shady deal to hide from the Trinity, while [REDACTED] searches out an old friend to help him out of this mess—and only gets deeper in trouble.

Nothing but Injustice in this World
You won't find Booster Gold in your Local Comic Shop today, but that doesn't mean he's gone for good. In DC's August solicitations, we learned that Booster will be playing a bigger part in future Injustice 2 issues.

The Red Lanterns, backed by the power of Starro, wage an all-out assault on Oa and the source of the Green Lanterns' power. But help is on the way in the form of the Titans, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and...Lobo? Get ready for a rumble like you've never seen before!

As mentioned earlier this week, Booster Gold is sporting a new jacket starting in Injustice 2 #30 coming July 18. Will he keep wearing the jacket in issues #31 and #32? I know I can't wait to find out!
While we're on the subject, I should mention that Booster will also be seen in the Deluxe Edition reprint of Action Comics #1000. You can find more info about that hardcover and the whole slate of DC Comics' August solicitations at Newsarama.com.

Coming Attractions
After last week's cornucopia of Booster Gold appearances, this week finds our hero only in a reprint of a reprint, the softcover edition of the first Injustice 2 trade collection.
That's not the last we'll see of Booster in Injustice 2, either. According to DC Comics July solicitations (which you can find on Newsarama.com), Booster will be playing a significant part in the upcoming Injustice 2 #30 scheduled for a July 18 release. Since Injustice 2 issues are digital-first releases, that means we'll see Booster on Comixology.com somewhere near digital chapters 59 and 60 in about a month. (For reference, this week sees the release of chapter 56.)
In addition, we'll also be seeing Booster's entire recent run from Action Comics (issues #993 through #998) reprinted in the softcover trade Superman: Action Comics Vol. 5: Booster Shot on August 18. That trade is advertised to also contain "a story" from the upcoming Action Comics Special #1, so don't be too surprised if we see Booster in that issue due next week.
