New Old Release: 52 Pick-Up TPB
Last week, DC released its retailer solicitations for July 2023, and about the only thing I can say about it is that Booster boosters are going to be able to save a bunch of money on comic books this summer.
The only sign of our hero is the DC Vs. Vampires: All Out- War Part 2 collection, and I'd never recommend anyone should even read that, let alone buy it.
But rather than focus on our summer without Gold — there will be plenty of time for that later — let's stay positive and keep an eye on what we're getting this week: the re-release of Booster Gold: 52 Pick-Up.

DC is calling this the 2023 edition. So far as I'm aware, the only thing different from the 2008 printing is the price, but I can't begrudge that. Everything is more expensive now than it was 15 years ago.
In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, what cost you $14.99 in 2008 should cost you $20.89 today. Turns out that Booster Gold: 52 Pick-Up 2023 Edition is a bargain! Buy a copy for everyone in your family.
UPDATE: I got an email from Marty pointing out that Skeets is on the solicited Dan Mora cover for Batman/Superman: World's Finest #17 due on July 18. That's definitely something to look forward to!

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Bad news first: DC's June 2023 solicitations are out at aiptcomics.cpom, and there's not a Booster Gold to be seen. That's 4 months and counting of no predictable appearances. This new "Dawn of DC" is looking less and less golden.
(Over the weekend, TwinCitiesGeek.com reported that Dan Jurgens has "started writing another Black Label project for DC" that "will be coming a little later yet this year." Seems unlikely that it'll be a Black Label Booster Gold story, but who knows?)
On the brighter side, while Booster is on hero hiatus, Boosterrific.com is better than ever thanks in no small part to J, who has spent an inordinate amount of time hunting down errors in the annotations and book details. Together, we're making things right that once went wrong.
Why, just this weekend, J discovered that the site was missing (count 'em!) two different Justice League Unlimited reprint volumes that contain Booster Gold adventures. Oops!
Shame on me for missing those, but hearty thanks to J for all the hard work. Booster boosters everywhere owe you a debt of gratitude. Keep up the good work!

New Release: Lazarus Planet: Omega
There are at least 11 different covers for this week's Lazarus Planet: Omega, but only one of those is any good because it's the only one with Booster Gold on it.

This one.
The issue preview at AIPTComics.com doesn't give any hint whether we'll actually see any Booster inside the book, so this cover may be all we get.
UPDATE 2023-02-21 Part 1: Yep, this is a cover-only appearance.
And we'd better enjoy it, Booster boosters, because AIPT also has the complete list of DC's May 2023 solicitations. For the third month in a row, there's no sign of any new Booster Gold adventures, just reprints like DC All Out War: Part 1 and the DCeased Box Set.
Surely this is a short-term problem, right? DC wouldn't announce a Booster Gold television show then put our hero in mothballs, would they? Would they!?
(Although, come to think of it, DC also announced a show for the Creature Commandos who haven't been in a whole bunch of comic book appearances recently... or ever, really. So yeah, they would.)
Regardless of what the future will bring, buy the David Marquez & Alejandro Sanchez cover of Lazarus Planet: Omega and make Skeets happy.
UPDATE 2023-02-21 Part 2: As Marty tells us via email, Booster Gold also plays a small part in this week's Superman: Space Age. Thanks, Marty!

Coming Soon: Lazarus Planet Omega
DC's February 2023 solicitations were released last week, and it appears that Booster Gold will play some role in the eight-issue "Lazarus Planet" event first announced back at New York Comic Con.
Or, at least, he'll be on the David Marquez cover to Lazarus Planet: Omega #1:

Given that A) Omega is the final book in the event, B) none of the solicitations or promotions otherwise mention him, and C) our hero is usually backgrounded in these sorts of big event stories, I don't have much hope that Booster will be playing a big role in this event.
But maybe I'm wrong. I sure hope I am. We'll certainly find out when Lazarus Planet: Omega comes our way on February 21.
Meanwhile, you can read more about Lazarus Planet and all other DC comics coming in February at GamesRadar.com.

Coming Soon: Nightwing 100
January's Nightwing #100 will have at least 8 covers. But Booster boosters only have to worry about getting our hands on 1 of them.
Presenting the "main" cover by series artist Bruno Redondo, featuring a vary familiar couple of colors:

Blue and Gold forever!
You can see a larger copy of this (and the 7 others) at CBR.com. Thanks to Rob Snow for bringing this to our attention.
