New Release: Generation Lost TPB Vol 2

The collected second-half of the very entertaining Justice League: Generation Lost series (issues #13 through #24) will be released today in a $39.99 hardcover edition. No doubt you already have the entire collection of single issues, but this is your chance to own them all again in a hardcover edition that will look far better on your bookself than those individually stapled periodicals.

But that's not all! Booster also appears in this week's Absolute Identity Crisis collecting the 2004 Identity Crisis mini-series and Birds of Prey: The Death of Oracle collecting issues #7-#13 of the second volume of Birds of Prey. That's a lot of Booster Gold cameos!

Buy them or not; Skeets is already quite busy handling things in the Booster Cave.

New Releases: All Sold Out

DC has announced that every single issue of the DCnU relaunch has sold out from the distributor. Since all 39 of the issues released so far have sold out and gone on to a second printing, there is no reason not to think that the 13 new #1 issues being released today won't sell out. If you want a paper copy of a new issue, you'd best rush to your Local Comic Shop with cash in hand. These things are selling fast.

Of course, all of these titles are still available digitally. If you don't want to fight the crowds, you can get a copy of any DCnU #1 online at comics.comixology.com. That was part of the point of this whole relaunch, right? Wherever Skeets is, surely he's reading his copy of Justice League International #1 digitally; it's the futuristic thing to do.

[EDIT: Sorry this post is late. Let's just blame it on lingering software errors and never discuss it again.]

Old Releases: JLA: Omega

Amid the new DC rollout continuing with 12 all-new titles today, DC will also release some old Justice League of America comics in the form of the Justice League of America: Omega collection. This trade will include a reprint of Starman/Congorilla, which includes a brief Booster Gold cameo appearance. Beware: despite being named "Omega," this trade doesn't actually collect the end of the pre-rebooted Justice League of America series. That, presumably, will happen later (and will also include a Booster Gold cameo appearance). Whether or not buying this will make Skeets happy is unknown at this time.

Old Releases: Booster Gold #46

The drought finally ends this week as Booster Gold #46 finally hits the stands... at Comixology.com.

Ok, so maybe this isn't breaking news. In fact, this tidbit was reported at comicbook.com by Russ Burlingame. (I promise I am not stalking Burlingame across the internet. He just happens to be the world's only reporter whose beat is Booster Gold.) But that's not the real news: the real news is that when asked why the delay in release, the DC representative Burlingame spoke with simply said, "I blame Reverse Flash."

There you go. The Reverse Flash is the DCnU's equivalent of the Superboy Punch. But if he's behind getting Booster Gold available online, Professor Zoom can't be all bad.

New Releases: Goodbye DCU, Hello DCnU

Today marks the end of the DCU, as represented by Flashpoint #5, and the dawn of the DCnU, to be seen in Justice League, Volume 2, #1. It seems very unlikely that Booster Gold will appear in either book, though both affect his stories. By this time, I'm sure anyone reading this has an opinion about the Great DC Reboot of 2010, so buy them or not: Skeets is indifferent.
