In an extended flashback sequence, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Fire, Ice, and Power Girl charge into the Florida Everglades to combat the Royal Flush Gang. The exact time of this encounter is unclear, though it must have taken place between Justice League America #30 and issue #31. Fire did not resume adventuring following the augmentation of her powers by the Gene Bomb until after issue #30, and both she and Ice changed their costumes in issue #31. Power Girl had joined the Justice League International after issue #24, though at that time her costume was devoid of it's traditional cleavage-window seen in this issue. (The cleavage-window and off-shoulder cape were part of Power Girl's original costume, but both had been replaced by more a traditional look during her early days in the Justice League Europe.)

The Justice League International's previously unknown battle with the Royal Flush Gang is revealed to be a flashback-within-a-flashback. Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are explaining the sequence of events to Maxwell Lord as Power Girl sits nearby. Unlike her original reputation in first-run Justice League International issues, Power Girl is unusually calm as Booster, Beetle, and Max essentially ridicule her predicament. In the original publication of Justice League International stories, Power Girl had a somewhat more contentious relationship with these men, and would not have lightly tolerated their joking at her expense.

Boosterrific Review: This issue is a surprisingly fun read that adds texture and depth to events both in Justice League: Generation Lost and the soap opera of Power Girl's recent life. A good companion book.
