New Release: All Star Western #21

Today at your Local Comic Shop you'll find the continuing adventures of Jonah Hex and Booster Gold in All-Star Western #21.

When we last left our heroes, they were returning to Red River Junction with the recovered gold and the sole surviving member of the Clem Hootkins Gang. But if the preview pages at CraveOnline.com are any indication, the trouble is just beginning for this odd couple.

Buy All-StarWestern #21 and make Skeets happy.

New Old Releases: The Firestorm Protocols

If you missed them the first time around, Booster Gold and the now-defunct Justice League International's appearances in The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men issues #9 and #10 will be collected in today's The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men Volume 2: The Firestorm Protocols.

To be clear, The Firestorm Protocols collects issues #7 through #12 and #0 of the series and contains none of Dan Jurgens' work on the title. This volume represents the second half of Ethan Van Sciver's year on the series. Van Sciver's art was well received, but his story not so much.

Come to think of it, it has been about a year since these issues were published, and already Jurgens' New 52 reinterpretation of the JLI and Van Sciver's New 52 reinterpretation Firestorm have already been largely forgotten. Firestorm looks and acts much like his pre-Flashpoint self as a member of the Justice League, and Booster is rumored to be returning to his own title again.

It's beginning to feel like old times again at DC!

New Release: Smallville Season 11 #14

When we last left our hero in Smallville Season 11 #13, his powers had been remotely deactivated by "Legion Protocol 6." Making matters worse, he and Superman were soon teleported through time to the 31st century to find Earth and New Krypton at war.

In today's Smallville Season 11 #14, Booster will continue his quest to have the Legion of Super-Heroes restore his powers. If you've been reading this story as it has been released in weekly digital installments on comiXology.com, don't tell your floppy-only buying friends how things go from bad to terrible for our hero this month.

Buy this issue and make Skeets happy.

New Release: Smallville Season 11 Special #1

Only die-hard Booster Gold completists (you know who you are) may care about this, but Booster Gold will be making an appearance in today's Smallville Season 11 Special #1. The main story features Smallville's version of Martian Manhunter, but Booster will be making a brief cameo. Or at least his Fan Club t-shirt will.

New Release: All-Star Western #20

Last time we saw Booster Gold, he was hungover and being laughed at by Jonah Hex. It's a pretty sure bet that things are going to get worse for our hero in today's All-Star Western #20.

You can find a preview of the (very gory) issue online at nerdist.com.
