I couldn't agree more. In order to stay relevant in this modern age dominated by micro-blogging and podcasts, this site needs more content to encourage people to take the trouble of visiting us on their old-fashioned tablets and newfangled smartphones. Something to entertain. Something to get people talking. Something to give people who love Booster Gold a few moments of enjoyment at least once every few days.

Traditionally, my focus has been pretty narrow: document what DC and its fans are doing in the name of comics' greatest character, Booster Gold. It was created as a way to track every Booster Gold appearance in comics, every character he has interacted with, and every artist who has ever contributed to those appearances. The blog was originally added as a place to catch the "other stuff" that deserved documenting that didn't quite fit elsewhere. I still use it mainly for that purpose.

In the past, I've always tried to avoid the "fluff" piece that you'll find on many blogs. I don't believe that I am any more of an authority on Booster Gold than any of you who have been reading his comics. While I haven't been afraid to offer my opinion when I felt it appropriate, I have generally tried to avoid creating content whole cloth based on my personal feelings or flights of fancy. I can't imagine that anyone would want to know how I would rank my 10 favorite Booster Gold artists or what I would do if I was an editor at DC. This site should be about Booster Gold, not me.

That philosophy coupled with a distinct lack of Booster Gold news in the "New 52" era — and, admittedly, more than a little complacency and laziness — have resulted in more than a few posts that were less engaging than they perhaps could have been. However, like CDN, I think I can do better. No blog dedicated to Booster Gold should ever be boring. I can use my resources and this blog to present a better spotlight on what has made Booster's adventures unique and desirable. I can write the occasional piece on characters and artists I like, especially as they relate to our hero. And I don't see how it could hurt for me to review some more comics.

Logan Peterson has called me out on my failure to mention that in addition to Heroes in Crisis #3, Booster Gold also appeared last week in two additional comics!

First was Aquaman/Justice League: Drowned Earth Special #1, where our hero can bee seen among the Leaguers admiring the new Aquaman statue.

Second, Booster is barely visible on the dance floor in the story "The Birds of Christmas Past, Present, and Future" in DC Nuclear Winter Special #1.

As you can see, both were cameo appearances rather than the starring role Booster has in HiC, but any Booster is good Booster! Thanks, Logan.

I'm not sure what to make of this Tom King tweet from Friday:

We've known since New York Comic Con back in October that King has been planning on pairing Blue and Gold for Heroes in Crisis. This tweet, presumably, is the proof that it is indeed coming. But how?

The Booster Gold in Heroes in Crisis has never been a partner of any incarnation of the Blue Beetle (so far as we know), so is their first meeting? Or a reunion of a previously unseen, shared past in the DC Rebirth Universe? Or a vision in Booster's head generated by Sanctuary?

For answers to these (and many other questions), we'll just have to keep reading future issues of Heroes in Crisis.

Remember the Booster Gold movie script that Zack Stentz wrote for Greg Berlanti back in 2016? Back in August, I wrote "If I were to venture a guess, I'd say it's not dead yet, just moving really, really slowly." It looks like I'm a good guesser.

Earlier this week, Hollywood screenwriter Zack Stentz tweeted about scripts that he has sold but that have not (as of yet) been produced into movies. Among the list was Booster Gold. That triggered this exchange:

Can we trust that source? According to gvnation.com, "Daniel is well known for breaking several DC scoops," so he has that going for him. But in case that's not strong enough evidence itself, let's go straight to the horse's mouth:

There you go. Booster Gold The Movie is still an "active project" at Warner Bros. Personally, I'm willing to be patient if it means they're going to do our hero right.

When last we left our hero, Booster Gold was getting sucker-punched by Flash in Heroes in Crisis #2.

I hope we'll find out if Booster's jaw is stronger than it looks in Heroes in Crisis #3, on sale today!
