I'm Getting Too Old for This Stuff
Oooh. Looks like we need a run-off!
Last week's poll question: What style would be the best fit for a Booster Gold movie? (55 votes)
In related news, Shawn dropped by the comments yesterday to say that he spoke to Dan Jurgens last weekend (presumably at the Midwest Comic Book Association 2015 Fall Comicon) and came away with the impression that "it would be a solo Booster movie not including Beetle." (To be clear: I'm quoting Shawn, not Jurgens.)
It seems Hollywood can't have a big budget superhero movie without introducing at least one love interest for their bachelor protagonists. That being the case, it seems likely that Booster will have a girl to romance between whatever crises he's managing solo. Is it enough to win the day, or does Booster have to win the girl too?

What We Learned from NYCC 2015
Not a lot of Booster Gold news out of New York Comic Con this year. Is there really a Booster Gold movie in the works? Warner Brothers still isn't talking.
But while Warner remains silent, late-night comedian and writer Seth Meyers wasn't so shy. He held a panel at NYCC which Brett White covered for Spinoff Online.
"When I read comics, I loved teams. I loved X-Men and Justice League for that reason. Superman on his own is less interesting than Superman with Batman." [Moderator Jesse David] Fox then asked Meyers about his favorite X-Men and Justice League teams; Meyers called out the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold "Justice League" run and Joss Whedon's "Astonishing X-Men."
With fans like Nathan Fillion and Seth Meyers, how can we not get a Booster Gold movie in the works? (Thanks, Seth. We think that your show is pretty good, too.)

Movies as Sequential Art
For Consequence of Sound, Ben Kaye considers the impact that a Booster Gold movie could have on a unified DC Movie Universe:
Comic-like multiverses have worked before with
Smallville and look to be on the right track with The Flash and Legends [of Tomorrow]. It doesn't take a huge leap to see how DC could use characters like Booster Gold and Rip Hunter to establish a wider net for their complex of universes in a way that allows all of their properties to exist in the same field, if not the same timeline.
For Kaye's whole argument, check out consequenceofsound.net.

I Don't Do Fan Casting
After four years of teases that there's a live-action Booster Gold project in the works somewhere in Hollywood, we still don't know who might actually play our hero on screen.
This past weekend, Russ Burlingame made a list of potentials for ComicBook.com. Burlingame rightly points out that most of the actors we fans would like to see in the role are actually much older than the character himself.
Hollywood has never had a problem with old actors in young parts. Gary Cooper and John Wayne almost always played characters meant to be ten or more years younger than their real-world ages. This is largely a matter of logistics: where are you going to find an actor that has time to both hone his craft and build a widespread fan following by the age of 24?
That said, I have no idea who will be playing Booster Gold. I don't even know who should be playing Booster Gold. I trust most casting directors to be able to find someone I'd never think of. So long as the role doesn't go to Shaquille O'Neal, I think I'll be okay.
Skeets, on the other hand, has to be Martin Freeman.

Ask Your Parents for Permission
Most of you are probably unaware, but Blue Beetle Dan Garrett had his own radio show in 1940. That makes him the Blue Beetle most qualified to participate in a "buddy cop" movie.
That said, I voted for Ted.
Last week's poll question: Which character should costar in the Booster Gold movie? (66 votes)
Today's question isn't data mining. (I've got other systems for that. Bwah-ha-ha!) I just wondered how old Booster Gold's fan base was. And remember, this is for posterity so be honest.
