International Exchange: JLI #8
Hopefully you didn't miss Russ Burlingame's most recent "International Exchange" column that was posted at ComicBook.com on Thursday. If you did, you missed this imortant bit:
IX: Wow! It's been a while since we had the old "Booster Gold's suit is out of batteries" problem. I kinda thought it had gone the way of Green Lantern's 24-hour charge.
Dan Jurgens: Not quite. It's still make of a fiberweave circuitry that depends on a power supply.
IX: That said, shouldn't Booster have been able to swoop down to save Batwing using nothing but his good looks and Legion flight ring?
DJ: ESPECIALLY the good looks!
Yes. Especially.

Server Maintenance Is No Joke
Some of you may have noticed that the site went down for most of Sunday. That Sunday was April Fool's Day was a mere coincidence. The server administrators decided to take this action on Saturday, or I would have warned about it last week. If you are reading this, Boosterrific.com is now back on line!

And if you're not reading this, please be patient. The site will be back as soon as possible.

There's nothing to worry about; the server simply had to come down temporarily to clean up some old data that was taking up too much room. (You can only sweep the old dirt under the rug for so long, it turns out.) As always, we apologize for any inconvenience.
UPDATE 04/02/12: I'm sure that the server is up and strong now. So as my way of making up for the content-light post above, let me suggest that instead of wasting time here, you check out the preview of Justice League International #8 hosted by Maxim.com. (Maxim has more scantily clad girls than Boosterrific.com, if that's your thing.)

International Exchange: JLI #7
If you haven't yet read Justice League International #7, stay far, far away from this month's "International Exchange" column at ComicBook.com. Once you've read the issue, rush over for Russ Burlingame's grilling of Dan Jurgens about the events of the paradigm-shifting issue.
IX: Going on the assumption that I made last issue—that [Rocket Red's] armor would have been infected by that interface... does that now put Skeets at risk?
DJ: Perhaps. Or it's possible that Skeets might make a startling discovery of his own. Or none at all. Or might just go to an ATM to withdraw cash. Hard to tell at this point.
Believe it or not, for this issue with plenty of focus on Booster Gold, Burlingame and Jurgens don't even mention our hero. However, a hinted implication that we'll be seeing more Skeets in the future is a happy substitute. An unasked, unanswered question is whether we'll actually be seeing Skeets, who has yet to appear on panel since Flashpoint, over half-a-year ago. Where have you been hiding, Skeets?

New Releases: Justice League International #7
After reading the preview for this issue in Monday's post, you've no doubt been waiting on pins and needles to find out how the world responds to a bombing at the United Nations building that destroyed the Justice League International in issue 6. Well, run, don't walk, to your Local Comic Shop to pick up Justice League International #7 and find out why and how "Booster Gold Stands Alone!"
Sharp-eyed Shawn Baston has also pointed out that Booster can be seen in The Art of George Perez, a 256-page coffee table book that Comic Book Resources says should ship tomorrow. However, the book but does not appear on the Diamond Comics shipping list for the week. (DC has changed their upcoming comics website to make it completely useless to see what is shipping when, so that's no help in solving this mystery.) Therefore, Booster may or may not be showing up in this book this week.
Buying either of these books will make Skeets happy.

Before Booster Gold
Yesterday, when I was picking on Vixen, I honestly had no idea. Wow.
Last week's poll question: Which current DCnU JLI member would you prefer to see leave the team? (41 votes)
DC must be schizophrenic. First the company strong arms its readers into the future with the all-new, all-different DCnU. Then it decides to release books with events and characters that take place before a comic mini-series released 2-and-a-half decades ago. Sigh.
Since DC is determined to mine its history for material, we fans should do our best to help out. Speak up and tell us what other Booster Gold-related classic comics you want to read prequel stories about.
