Somehow DiDio's "love" seems to feel rather abusive..and I am always scarred when he mentions "plans" for characters I care about. Keeping someone in limbo is a plan as well after all.

Don't worry Skeets! You have to look on the bright side, though. judging by the current situation of "Nu52", you're probably better off staying within the limbo, without anyone ruining you.<br /><br /> I mean look at the Booster's new suit and the new JLI as a whole.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but The Blue and The Gold don't exist in nu52, however Ted Kord does...Or at least that's how I understood one of the interviews. <br /><br /> Grimmy should totally go through the previous news several(dozen) times to read it himself :)

deusex, as I understand it Ted Kord does indeed exist, although I don't think he has been introduced in the nu52 yet. I'm not sure what Blue and Gold has to do with it, Jamie's the Blue Beetle now right?<br />BTW the terms DC used were, major, male, character, not hero. Could even be a villain based on that. Bwa-ha-ha-ha

Hopeful thinking: SyFy is doing a Booster Gold show (They confirmed they have the script and are working out the details a few weeks ago). Geoff and Dan are writing the JLI Annual. Geoff made the comment Booster is always a Time Master....what if DC is canceling JLI and will relaunch Time Masters, with some of the JLI (not characters like Guy, who is needed for Green lantern or Bruce, but others like General Iron) joining Booster to save the Time Stream or, with the rise of Earth 2, doing a Multiverse book?

Errrr....Yeah, about that...It doesn't look any good, to be honest. Regarding Time Masters, Didio did comment that they dont want much time travel in the DCnU. Of course that can mean anything with him. At least he did not say that he loves time travel.

Believe it or not, I'm hopeful. As old as I am, I'm not opposed to change, only continuous chaos. Which is the vibe I've been getting from DC lately (last year or so). I don't know if this is the first step in getting Booster back on track, but after this mediocre series, anything (tv series in the works) has got to be better. right? :/

Of course you're right! And I completely agree with you, good sir! ANYTHING...well, almost ANYTHING is better than "New 52". Don't get me wrong, it did brought some good titles, but sadly there were too few to justify the sacrifice of countless good titles. Not to mention Booster's own series.<br /><br /> As for the poll, I'd go with relief and terror. I'm glad that DC's twisted abuse of JLI and Booster's personal time is coming to an end(because the series were beginning to go downhill fast with the arrival of Nightwing, and the death of Gavril). <br /><br /> But I'm also terrified that it might be the last time for us to see Booster in action within "New52", as well as I'm terrified that it might actually be for the best, all things considered.

DC's New 52 sure is saving me a lot of money... I'm not buying anywhere near as many comics as I was before Flashpoint - I struggle to undersand their business model.

As mush as I hesitate to admit, but JLI series are going downhill with every new issue, so maybe it is for the best. Although the thought of the whole JLI issue being dedicated to Nightwing's arc, it's kinda lame.<br /><br /> On the other hand, I can't wait for JLI Annual. Hopefully it won't be as bad as Teen Titans Annual.

Oh, their business model is easy!<br /><br /> It's called,"Sucker in more people by rebooting their favorite series and thus force them to buy more comics."<br /><br /> Seriously though, the whole reboot made them plenty of money because it got people curious and it allowed "fresh blood" to start reading comics from the start...Too bad they aren't going anywhere with it.<br /><br /> I'm sensing yet another reboot next year or so.

Sure, you have to bring in fresh meat, but you have to do it in a way that doesn't alienate your existing customer base and what's the point of piquing potential new customer's inerests if you can't keep 'em hooked AND you run off all your existing customers?

Hey, I don't like what they're doing either. I've just said that the whole point of Flashpoint+Reboot was to make a quick buck, that was all.<br /><br /> And yeah, I completely agree with you on the whole alienation remark and the fact that DC is losing regular customers well, on most of their comics sales anyway.<br /><br /> Which was why I joked about yet another reboot. I just can't imagine DC going on like that for a long period of time, I mean they keep losing our money and they keep cancelling series on top of that. Some are even pretty decent!

I imagine that a lot of old DC readers quit reading back in 85' because of CrisisonInfiniteEarths. <br /><br />The difference between CoIE and FlashpointNew52, is that back then DC was in serious trouble, sales were really bad and the books were mired in 45+ years of silly and confusing history. By doing CoIE DC was able to give the creators a clean slate to work on and the old characters a (reasonably) fresh start (not to mention the creation of Booster Gold). <br /><br />On the other hand, FlashpointNew52 just feels like "yet another pointless grab for more money" timed to coincide with DC's comics going digital. ho-hum<br /><br />In so many ways the New52 concept reminds me of Marvel's failed "New Universe" or the year (that I wish I could forget) when Image took over Marvel's titles. hmmm, Jim Lee was involved in that one too...
