Even Skeets is a Member of the DC Nation
Cartoon Network's animated Green Lantern cartoon debuted last week. Several promotions for the upcoming "DC Nation" block of cartoons ran during the show. Eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted a certain golden-garbed figure and his 25th-century sidekick among the many DC heroes. Unfortunately, Booster and Skeets weren't seen in any of the cartoons previewed (their appearance was actually lifted from the cover of Booster Gold #40 by Pat Ollife), but it's good to see them included nonetheless.
A video recording of the broadcast commercial can be seen in this YouTube video uploaded by tdubois01. (Morgenstern notes that Booster is at about the 6 second mark.) Hopefully DC will release a better copy of the commercial soon so that the world can get a good view of the greatest hero (and sidekick) that no one has ever heard of.
UPDATE 11/15/2011: DCEntertainmentTV has uploaded the whole video in better quality here.

So Long, and Thanks for All the Figures
They say that you can have too much of a good thing, so it's good to know that most of our voters exercise some restraint with their collecting. Hopefully you are saving your money for the big-ticket Booster Gold collectibles, such as a life-sized Skeets replica -- should they ever come out.
Last week's poll question: How many Booster Gold figures do you own? (43 votes)
Speaking of too much of a good thing, once upon a time comic book stories were told succinctly in a issue or less. Now stories typically plod slowly over a half dozen issues so that they can be collected into trades. How do you feel about this storytelling decompression?

Nothing Says Etsy Like a Squeezable Sidekick
Last year Boosterrific.com promised you that the cutest thing on the internet was a Booster Gold doll. A year later, and nothing has changed except the doll.
Another year, another doll! This unique 11-inch tall Booster Gold plushie comes with a little Skeets, because your little stuffed Booster Gold companion needs his own little stuffed companion. The pair are available from the Etsy.com store of Showboat on the Road, where you can also find hand-wash-only Aquaman doll. Make note that Showboat on the Road is willing to take custom orders. (Rani? Godiva? Perforated Man? The mind still boggles!)

Unauthorized Booster and Beetle
No new release from DC for Booster Gold today, so maybe you'd like to take a look at an old, unauthorized release. Morgenstern -- who seems to be on a mission of his own, tracking down Booster Gold across the farthest corners of the internet -- recommends xanykaos' Booster and Beetle comic on Deviant Art.
Complete with a surprise guest appearance of another notable couple of time travelers, this little comic from 2009-2010 will make you laugh and cry. Hey, DC, why can't you scrap one of the 9 Batman-related comics on shelves this week to make room for more books like this?

Blue and Gold: Public Speakers for Hire
Morenstern has unearthed a new YouTube video of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. This time the pair are giving a presentation on how to be American super heroes to a crowd assembled at the 2011 Aki Con anime convention.
Why the pair is presenting their panel at an anime convention is a question that doesn't need asking. Wherever there is a paycheck or a public forum, there will be Blue and Gold.
