New Releases: Legion Lost #5

Eagle-eyed, longtime Booster booster Shawn Baston notes that Booster Gold and the Justice League International appear in today's Legion Lost #5 reacting to a global plague. Unfortunately, it seems that the JLI's skill set isn't the best method for dealing with heart attacks:

Buying this issue won't make Skeets happy, but it could teach you how not to treat heart attack victims.

International Exchange: JLI #5

Russell Burlingame's latest "International Exchange" column ran yesterday morning on comicbook.com. Burlingame and Jurgens are really developing a rapport after all these years: this month's column is the most entertaining, most informative one yet. You know it's going to be good when Burlingame goes straight for the jugular:

International Exchange: I'll start with the hard, and obvious, question: Who's that girl on the far right side of the cover? It doesn't look like Lady Godiva.

Dan Jurgens: There's a very good answer for that.

It's a mistake. A screw up.

She shouldn't be there as she wasn't yet due to appear in the book. Given the amount of people who look at these things, I have no idea how it ever made it all the way through to print.

Note that Jurgens says the mysterious Woman in Black wasn't "yet" in the book. So when will we be discovering the true identity of this woman who is not Godiva, Wonder Woman, or Donna Troy? Inquiring minds want to know.

The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Goggles

Boosterrific.com now has an RSS Feed. Over the weekend, the Irredeemable Shag of the exceptional Firestorm Fan requested one, and who am I to deny the Formidable Flamehead's biggest fan? You can now read Boosterrific.com every day on your favorite RSS reader. You'll find the feed at feeds.feedburner.com/boosterrific.

A side effect of the creation of the RSS feed is that the Boosterrific.com blog can now be easily exported to Twitter and Facebook. I asked way back in April 2010 if anyone could think of a good reason for the site to have such things. No one did at the time, but now that Shag supports it.... So, anyway, if it is your wont to do such things, follow Boosterriffic here on Twitter and/or here on Facebook.

Boosterrific.com: being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century one day at a time.

Don't Panic

This time, I'm warning you in advance: beginning today and continuing for the next week, there will be server maintenance behind the scenes at Boosterrific.com. This will eventually result in a server relocation which will require some down time for the site. Hopefully, the outages will be brief and limited in number.

In the meantime, if you should come to Boosterrific.com and find that you cannot get your fix of Booster Gold, take a trip over to iFanboy.com and read Jeff Reid's summary of Booster's publication history.

Or perhaps you feel you are missing out on your Dan Jurgens news? Try clicking over to Comic Book Movie.com and read nailbiter111's interview with Dan Jurgens.

Sure neither site is Boosterrific.com, but we'll all just have to make due in these trying times.

Thursday Is the New Friday

This poll wasn't as widely reported as the Iowa Republican caucus, but it was far more important! It seems that character study defeats action/adventure. This must be awards season.

Last week's poll question: ( votes)

What was 2011 missing? Skeets. Let's correct that in 2012.
