Awesome Enough to Be a Real Thing
Two and a half years ago, we lamented that we couldn't have our own Booster Gold hoodie. Coyote Pop Clothing has finally heard our cries.
The "Gold Hoodie!" is one of five DC Comics-inspired hoodies currently being offered by Coyote Pop. The description from their website reads
The hoodies are made from 100% polyester on the outside while the inside is lined with cotton. The print/design you see on the hoodie is printed on using a method called Hot Split Printing, which means the print will not fade or crack like normal printed clothing but feel like its integrated with the hoodie and very smooth to the touch.
You can order your own sweatshirt for $69 (plus shipping) at CoyotePopClothing.com. They are only taking orders until September 16, so if you want one, don't dawdle.
Thanks to Matthew Mueller of ComicBook.com for pointing this out.

Booster Gold Movie to Stand Alone
On Wednesday, Abraham Riesman reported the following for Vulture.com:
"As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds," [Greg] Berlanti said when asked if the movie would be part of the DC Extended Universe that already includes Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad .... "It'd be a separate thing."
Berlanti also indicated that the movie is an extension of the Booster Gold TV show abandoned by the SyFy network in 2012. He gives credit to Geoff Johns for rolling that canceled project into a theatrical movie. Johns recently told the Wall Street Journal that he is trying to make the cinematic DC Universe less "gritty and dark." (I think I owe Geoff Johns a drink.)
Back to the original topic: the Booster Gold movie is currently planned to be a stand-alone story with no connection to the larger Warner Brothers cinematic DC Universe. Whether you think that is good news or bad news probably depends on whether you're one of the people who helped Batman v Superman make $872 million.
Let's find out where Booster boosters stand.
This week's poll question: How do you feel about the Booster Gold movie not taking place in the Warner Bros DC Extended Universe? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.

Booster Gold Is a Pawn
Today is New Comic Day, but you won't find Booster Gold in any of today's releases at your Local Comic Shop. If you want Booster, consider rectifying that buy winning this eBay auction for a slabbed CGC 9.8 copy of Booster Gold #1 signed by Dan Jurgens. What a bargain at only $375!
If you're looking for something a little cheaper, you'll find the Eaglemoss DC Chess Collection piece number 61: White Pawn Booster Gold elsewhere on eBay.com. It can be yours for as little as $8.00 (plus shipping)!
A chess piece is hardly an action figure, but perhaps it will tide you over until that DC Icons Blue Beetle and Booster Gold two-pack arrives. (Remember those?) Announced at Comic Con International in July, it won't be available until June 29, 2017! And unlike the chess piece, the figures will have a suggested retail price of $55.00.
So maybe you shouldn't buy those eBay items. If you save $2 a week between now and June, you'll easily be able to buy the greatest action figures ever made and still have enough left over for a nice lunch.

The Wizards of Ranaloy
I interrupt my regularly scheduled Booster Gold blog to make the following announcement:
I wrote a book.
Actually, I've written a trilogy of books. They are an adaptation of a high-fantasy role-playing game I created and ran about 15 years ago. The first book has finally cleared editing and is available to the public. Book 2 will follow soon, and I hope to have book 3 out by December.
If fantasy novels (or supporting Booster Gold website webmasters) is your thing, consider dropping by www.CentralKingdomsChronicles.com, where you'll find a free preview of the first chapter of each of the three books. You'll also find links to buy the Kindle release on Amazon.com and a paperback from CreateSpace.com.
Thank you for your consideration.
We will now return you to your regularly scheduled Booster Gold blog already in progress.

Jim Towe Draws Booster Gold
Start your Labor Day weekend celebration with this golden Booster Gold fan art by Jim Towe (by way of Cootie Kid):
If any of you are going to be at DragonCon in Atlanta this weekend, keep an eye out for the Cellbloc Studios booth. Studio owner James Simpson will be showing off our latest video game, SnarfQuest Tales!
(I'm sorry to admit that I won't be there. Labor Day also marks the start of the college football season, so I've got a date with my television. A man's got to have priorities.)
