Comics in Five Panels
A few weeks back, Booster booster Eyzmaster and Waezi2 got together over at Comics In 5 Panels to discuss Justice League : Generation Lost. The premise of the site is to use 5 panels to recap a single series, but it's impossible to talk about the impact of Generation Lost without mentioning the New 52.
Waezi2: Even weirder is that despite Booster Gold being pretty popular the last couple of years before the Nu52, Johns made him... disappear. LITERATELY!
Granted, JLI was apparently not a big success, and Johns has a reputation for using C-List characters as canon-fodder to make them seem important, but when Frankenstein was cancelled, he was at least made part of Justice League Dark(can you believe how cheap DC is today?). So that's actually n52 in a nutshell: "Hey, kids! Sorry that you will never read about Booster Gold again, but it was SO important to make it clear how BIG an impact Superman and Wonder Woman making out has."
Bottom-line: third-stringers has no place in n52.

Time-Traveling Tyrannosaur
The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois prides itself on owning "largest, best-preserved, and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found." That dinosaur, nicknamed "Sue," was found 24 years ago today.
Sue is special not only because of her bones. She also has a a unique modern history that includes Native Americans, land fraud, and FBI raids. It sure sounds like they could have used a super hero at that dig!
Some say dinosaurs died off because they couldn't adapt fast enough to changing climate conditions, but not Sue! She's adapting to the digital age just fine. Sue's featured in a documentary about her modern trials, Dinosaur 13 (which is due for release later this week), and like all reality stars, she has a big presence on social media. You can find her on Twitter as @SUEtheTrex.
That's not too bad for someone who's been dead for 67 million years. Someone get this dino an agent!

Mine, Mine, Mine
Minecraft is a video game about construction and imagination. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that creative players enjoy dressing their characters in unique costumes. Of course that brings us to custom Booster Gold (now with more Skeets):
I included a link to a different Booster Gold Minecraft skin before, but who's ever satisfied with just one option? Follow this link to The Skindex, and you'll find several Booster Gold skins created by Minecraft players, including options with protruding collars and goggles, for all your Minecraft cosplaying needs! (Sorry, no Extreme Justice version yet.)

Something to Get Excited About?
I don't think a lack of Booster Gold cosplayers is in and of itself a problem, but when no one cares enough to dress like Booster Gold it seems to me that the fans are starting to move on to other things. Given how DC has underused The Greatest Character In History for the past 2+ years, maybe they should.
Last week's poll question: Does the lack of Booster Gold cosplayers at Comic-Con signify a bigger problem for Booster Gold fandom? (46 votes)
I often feel that I'm letting Booster Gold fans down when I don't gush with enthusiasm over teases like Dan DiDio's DC All Access announcement. Naturally, I'm not the sort of person who who gets excited about such things (especially when they come from someone with DiDio's track record of intentionally misleading statements), but that doesn't necessarily mean that you shouldn't. Hope and enthusiasm are good things. So I ask you, the fans, what was your reaction to DiDio's tease?
"So with the Five Year Later jump in September, There's one book that's a clue book, there's one book that sets it all up, and it's the one book that gives us a glimpse of what's about to come in. ... I'm not saying it's Booster Gold, but it'd be great if it was Booster Gold."
