If He Ever Shows Up, He Can Wear What He Wants
Over on Deviant Art, Chinese artist Fuge has imagined an updated Ted Kord's costume for the New 52.
I'm not nuts about the gold panels on Ted's costume, but if he has to wear something like that to run with the New 52 crowd, I can live with it. On the other hand, the "belt" on Booster's costume is an upgrade.
Check out more of Fuge's work at onlyfuge.deviantart.com.

Fight for the Future
Elvis or the Beatles? Coke or Pepsi? Batman or Superman? There can be only one!
Last week's poll question: Which Justice Leaguer would make the better mentor/role model for Booster Gold? (44 votes)
Earlier this week, I was thinking that Booster Gold would be playing a trivial part at best in the upcoming "Trinity War" event. But events in this week's Justice League of America have me thinking twice. What's your opinion?

New Release: All Star Western #21
Today at your Local Comic Shop you'll find the continuing adventures of Jonah Hex and Booster Gold in All-Star Western #21.
When we last left our heroes, they were returning to Red River Junction with the recovered gold and the sole surviving member of the Clem Hootkins Gang. But if the preview pages at CraveOnline.com are any indication, the trouble is just beginning for this odd couple.
Buy All-StarWestern #21 and make Skeets happy.

This Day in History: We've Been Lied to Before
Just this weekend, I was cautioning in the Boosterrific Forum that Booster Gold fans might not want to expect too much participation from Booster Gold in the upcoming Justice League "Trinity War" event. Yes, Goff Johns has teased that Booster will be part of the mix, but this isn't the first time that Johns has teased Booster's participation in a big DC event.
Exactly 5 years ago today, Final Crisis #2 was released. Although Booster was clearly seen being drafted into the Justice League to combat the "Final Crisis" in Booster Gold #1, the only participation Booster ended up having with the "Final Crisis" was silently attending the Martian Manhunter's funeral — in two separate books! It was not everything that Booster Gold fans had hoped for.
I'm not saying that Booster Gold won't be seen during "Trinity War." I'm just saying it's best not to expect too much.

Start Saving Today
It looks like gamers are soon to be getting a double dose of Booster Gold.
As noted last week by the Irredeemable Shag! at FirestormFan.com, Booster will be included in the New 52-inspired Justice League Chess Set being produced a piece at a time by Eaglemoss. Booster will be a pawn in the set, but so will be Captain Marvel Shazam, Supergirl, and Power Girl, so at least he has some pretty good company. Eaglemoss has already given us one awesome Booster Gold figure, so there is a firm foundation to expect a great Booster Gold chess piece whenever it is released.
The other place we'll be seeing Booster Gold is as a playing card in the Heroes Unite expansion for the DC Comics Deck-Building Game. ICv2.com has details about the game itself, and BleedingCool.com speculates that this was the project that the R.B. Silva Instagram pictures were teasing back in January. Whether that is true or not, odds are that this, too, will feature Booster in his New 52 togs.
No dates or pics yet for either product, but hopefully both will be available before the end of the year, so plan ahead and start saving now, Boosterphiles!
(Thanks to Shag and Morgenstern for pointing these out.)
