Just in Time for Christmas
Last year, DC Collectibles promised us a two-pack of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold action figures. That set was canceled because of lack of demand. I doubt this latest Blue and Gold two-pack will suffer a similar fate.
Introducing the Previews Exclusive Funko Pop! Blue Beetle and Booster Gold vinyl figure two-pack!
From Previewsworld.com:
The DC Universe's most hilarious crime-fighting duo comes to three dimensions with these PREVIEWS Exclusive Funko Pop! two-packs!
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold stand about 3 1/4" tall and come in a collector friendly window box for display. Recreate the adventures of two of the Justice League International's greatest heroes with these PX Pop! figures!
Just last week, I was having a discussion with Randy, the owner of my Local Comic Shop about the incredible popularity of Funko Pop! figures. I admitted that I don't get the appeal of the "superdeformed" vinyl statuettes that were taking up an entire wall in his store. Randy suggested that I was just old. His argument didn't win me over, but the fact that this Booster Gold Funko Pop! figure has a collar might.
The two-packs will come in two different finishes, standard and metallic. Either version has a suggested retail price of $22.99 and a targeted arrival date of December 20, 2017.
Since these are Previews Exclusives, be sure to tell your Local Comic Shop that you want one (or two) well in advance. I already sent my email to Randy.

New Release: Meet the Flintstones
Booster Gold is finally back in comic stores after a two year hiatus! And we finally have a definitive answer to last month's debate over what piece of art Dan Jurgens, Norm Rapmund, and Brian Miller were working on.

Gee, that star sure looks familiar.
Those wonderful people over at CBR.com have an 11-page preview. Eleven pages! Fortunately, it's a 48-page comic.
The preview certainly raises plenty of continuity questions for our favorite Chronal Crusader, but that's to be expected for any character who has missed two continuity reboots. Before anyone freaks out (and I'm probably talking to myself here), keep in mind that this is our first look at post-Rebirth Booster Gold.
What are you doing still reading this? Go buy your copy of Booster Gold/The Flintstones Annual Special #1 now! Heck, there are two covers, each featuring Booster Gold, so buy two!

New Release: Blue Beetle Rebirth #1
Blue Beetle: Rebirth #1 is out today. It features the return of Ted Kord as the mentor to Jaime Reyes. You can find two previews online at comicbookresources.com and majorspoilers.com.
On a related note, DC Comics released solicitations for comics shipping in November earlier this week. As has become the norm, Booster Gold was nowhere in sight.
Could a future issue of Blue Beetle be where we'll next see our hero? Given that the series is written by Keith Giffen, it seems a possibility. Consider picking up this issue and getting in on the ground floor.

Junk Food for Your Closet
DC Rebirth #1 is out today . . . and according to Newsarama.com, Booster Gold is not in it.
On an unrelated note, long time Booster booster Shawn Baston wrote in to chastise me for not pointing out that the May Previews catalog solicited a new Booster Gold t-shirt:
This shirt from Junk Food Clothing reproduces the cover of Booster Gold #1. It should be available in late July for about $18.00. This is a Previews exclusive, so if you want it, be sure to tell your Local Comic Shop so that they can order one for you.
Thanks, Shawn. Now that I know you're paying attention, I'll try harder!

What to Do about Previews
This past weekend, I discovered that Booster Gold appeared on the cover of the June 2007 issue of Previews.

In case you're unaware, Previews is Diamond Comics Distributors in-house catalog of upcoming comic releases. Diamond distributes the magazine to comic specialty shops so that shop owners can place orders. Many shops make the catalog available to their customers, but it's really an industry tool.
Should this be in the Boosterrific database as a cover appearance? It's really just an ad for Booster Gold Volume 2 #1, and I cover that on the Advertisements page. I must have been aware of this when it was released, and I'm sure I didn't consider it a "cover appearance" then. I'm not sure my opinion has changed.
What do you think? Advertisement or cover appearance?
