I am sorry to post this here, but I wasn't sure where else it should go. In the latest poll you have here, I would like to point out, Booster's already met DaVinci, his sister was the inspiration for the Mona Lisa. Though, the poll may be who we'd like to see him meet, I just kinda took it as meaning someone he hasn't met. I'm sorry if the intention was to include others he's met :P Also sorry for posting it here....<br />Side note: I should go spend my college loan on buying this! :D lol

@Cnd: When I compiled this week's poll, I was thinking more along the lines of a team-up. But you are right, though Booster's interaction with DaVinci was limited to essentially a cameo, that certainly meets the terms of the question, doesn't it. So I removed him from the poll. (Maybe I was just testing to see if anyone was paying attention? No? Ok.)

@Shawn: Thanks for pointing that out. I had been looking for an announcement from DC, but if the news came from Winick, I'll believe him.

Well, I'd rather they wrap a story up 2 issues early, if it will serve the story well, then extend it by two issues just to make a buck.<br />My hope is the extra 32 pages will be filled with bonuses, including Cut scenes, rejected character designs, creator comments, so on and so forth.

I not sure if you're referring to the unusual foreshortening of Booster's raised left arm or the odd elbow placement of his crooked right arm. In either case, I'm already on record as not being a fan of Steve Leialoha's art in JLI #14.

Haha! Well, I was specifically referring to his right arm. Not only the elbow, but also his right arm hand. I think it is completely impossible to hold one's arm and hand in that way such that the thumb is positioned away from the body like in the picture. <br />Also, what exactly is he doing? Is he making a lowercase "d" in reference to his defense complaint? Or is he trying to slap his own forehead?

tiggerpete, I blame your car for keeping Booster out of this issue. Somehow Winick knew that you'd be late getting it, so he kept Booster on the sidelines to prevent your reading displeasure. Stupid power steering!

I gotta say, BG 38 and JL GL 13 were both excellent, 5/5 IMO, nothing is a better palate cleanser than Nazi-punching. (also, holy crap at the end of the Captain Atom Magog fight)

I hope there is a turn around in story quality soon. Despite finding generally positive web reviews of G&D's run, the sales estimates for BG 37 took a bit of a dive (lost 700+). Way too many for a book under 20K.

Agreed. The downward sales trend for the title is accelerating, the opposite of what you'd expect given the success of GENERATION LOST and SEARCH FOR BRUCE WAYNE. I intend to cover this tomorrow in a little more depth with a new sales graph.

Of course! I publicly state that I am excited to read BOOSTER GOLD 38, and then I find out that UPS has shorted my LCS most of its order. Bummer. Better luck tomorrow, maybe.

that sucks, BG 38 for me was the best part of a really good week (btw, Booster makes an appearance in the final issue of Return of Bruce Wayne, also out this week, fair warning, its very much a Grant Morrison book)

Your fair warning comes much too late. I'd already updated the main post above to include the B:TROBW cameo. That was sadly one of the only books my LCS had, so it's all I've had to keep me company this evening. Of course, I absolutely hated it. At this point, I really don't understand why anyone reads anything Morrison writes anymore. I conceded that he's technically competent and has quite a bag of tricks as a writer. But his stories are bloated and entirely masturbatory. He's a poet, not a storyteller.

personally, I like Grant Morrison, is his stuff easy to read? hell no, but its one of those things that when you reread it, or look at the big picture, you see the genius that is Morrison, I know its not a popular position to take, but Final Crisis IMO is one of the more ingenius stories of the last 5 years, the only problem with it is the title of "crisis" granted, Morrison isn't for everybody, but a certain number of Fanboys are diehard Morrison fans, I guess you either love the guy, or hate him, sort of like Alan Moore.

I recognize that Morrison has positive aspects, and some of his work is very, very good. However, his style is far from mainstream, and I hate it when he writes for the DC Universe-at-large. It's just NOT what I want to read in a comic book. (P.S.: I love Alan Moore.)

I like some of Alan Moore, but like Morrison, he's best when he writes his own things or is disconnected from continuity (Swamp Thing, Watchmen) Morrison's best work has been somewhat unattached to continuity as well (Arkham Asylum, Animal Man, Doom Patrol)
