The Irredeemable Shag! of FirestormFan.com brings our attention to the following fan art of the never-before-seen team-up between Jason Rusch and Booster Gold.

This version of Booster appears to have a solid gold torso, and no gauntlets (or legs), but I still like it more than the official DCnU costume. I'm a sucker for the high collar.

There's something charming about today's fan art of B-List DC super hero Booster Gold versus B-List Marvel villain Molten Man. Maybe it's the fact that I'm left wondering how many readers who have read enough comics to be familiar with these two characters still draw in crayon?

So Booster Gold doesn't exist anymore. It could be worse.

Booster is technically qualified to be a Black Lantern. He was pronounced legally dead in Justice League International #65 following his encounter with Devastator. Fortunately for Booster the Overmaster kept everyone in the world alive as part of his plan to destroy the world. (Don't ask how that was supposed to work.) By the time the Overmaster was defeated, Booster was wearing the life-supporting armor designed by his friend and future Black Lantern, Blue Beetle. Thus Booster was returned to life after death. Technically.
