The Weirdest Thing
The Blot spotted this on eBay:
Obviously, this is a custom-painted Green Lantern figure. I'd never seen an XXRAY figure before, so I asked Blot for an explanation.
[Jason] Freeny is a toy artist/customizer who got pretty popular by cutting toys in half and then creating what he thinks their internal structure would look like (bones, organs, etc). Did it to both art figures (like KAWS) as well as pop culture toys like Super Mario or a rubber ducky. Now designer art toy companies produce his designed figures. They've got a whole line of DC Comics XXRAY figures featuring his dissected designs.
So now they make whole lines of "The half-Visible Man" collectible figures? What will they think of next?

The Blot's Sketchbook: Comicpalooza 2017
I begged The Blot for another peek at his Booster Gold sketchbook, and he finally gave in! Check out these two he picked up at last year's Comicpalooza convention in Houston:
From left to right, that's the work of David Finch and Tony Harris. (Click on either image to see a larger pic in a new window.)
You can see more of The Blot Says' Booster Gold Sketchbook on Flickr.com.
Thanks, Blot. You're a true Booster booster!

Year in Review 2017: Number 2
The Blot returned with his sketchbook on March 23 to claim the second most popular Boosterrific.com post of 2017 with this sketch by Phil Hester.
You've been very generous sharing over the years, Blot. Thank you.
Come back Friday to see 2017's most popular post. (Can you guess what it is?)

Birthday Surprise, Booster Gold!
Today marks the negative 425th birthday of Jon Michael "Booster" Carter, born this day in the year 2442.
If you've got $100 to drop on an action figure, I think I've got a pretty good way to celebrate the occasion.
Perhaps you recall that I first reported on a 12-inch Justice League Action Booster Gold figure from Target back in March? By June, I'd given up hope that we would ever actually see it in stores. I might have been premature.
Earlier this week, I got word that Mattel might finally be releasing the figure in 2018. While researching that claim yesterday, I found this on eBay.com:
I've still never seen one of these in the wild, but if this is the real deal (and there's no reason to suspect that it isn't), there must be others out there somewhere.
Keep your eyes peeled, Booster boosters! And Happy Birthday, Booster!
UPDATE 01/01/2018: The Blot notes that this figure is now available on Amazon.com for $13! Man, 2018 is looking Boosterrific already!

Jingle Jingle
Way back in February, The Blot alerted us that Kidrobot was planning to release a "Booster Gold" Dunny keychain. Well, The Blot has reported back to say that they're now available, just in time for Christmas shopping.
From Kidrobot.com:
In time for the new Justice League movie, Kidrobot and DC Comics have teamed up again to shrink the Dunny down to small crime fighting size. Featuring all of the DC Universe's most iconic heroes and clocking in at 1.5" tall, these DC Dunnys are ready to stop villains in their tracks. Coming with a lobster clasp on a detachable ring, this Justice League adds a heroic accent to backpacks, purses, keys and zippers. Nab them all today and keep the villains of the DC universe at bay!
The entire lineup of 14 figures includes Modern Batman, Classic "New Look" Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, Green Arrow, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle (Jaime), Animal Man, and Zatanna.
Kidrobot is selling them for $5.99 each, but sadly, they are packaged in "blind boxes," meaning you can't know which one you're going to get when you order just one. To be sure you get a Booster Gold, you'll have to order a whole display of 24 blind boxes. Or, you know, go to eBay.
Thanks, Blot!
