New Old Release: JLA Earth 2
Today at your Local Comic Shop, you might find a new printing of JLA: Earth 2. This 2002 story was Grant Morrison's introduction of the Crime Syndicate of Amerika to the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths DC Universe. Be forewarned that it has nothing to do with current continuity.
Obviously, DC is hoping to squeeze a few extra bucks out of fans excited about the current Forever Evil mini-series that introduces the Crime Syndicate to the post-Flashpoint DC Universe. I'm not opposed to DC Comics re-releasing old stories to new readers, but I have to suspect that the timing of this particular reprinting is going to cause some problems.
For one thing, Earth-2 is no longer home to the Crime Syndicate in the "New 52" Universe. That's now Earth-3. Earth 2 is now another title altogether, more or less the book that used to be called JSA. How many fans are going to see JLA: Earth 2 and think it's either related to the comic Earth 2 (which it isn't) or feature the same characters that are now found in Forever Evil (which it doesn't)?
Don't get me wrong: I like and recommend JLA: Earth 2. I just hope that everyone has a good Local Comic Shop operator who can clear up the confusion about when and where the events of this book take place before someone decides to pay $24.99 for this "deluxe" reprint.
(And for the record, no, Booster Gold does not appear in this book. Sadly, we still haven't seen Frank Quitely's interpretation of our favorite hero. The world can be a cruel, cruel place.)

I'm Gonna Live Forever
Booster Gold wearing a bow tie and dinner jacket over his costume in Booster Gold, volume 1, #3 is one of my favorite Booster moments. Seems I'm not alone.
"Fame" is just one of a huge assortment of silhouettes of comic and pop culture characters created by Steve Garcia. You can find his gallery online at stevegarciaart.deviantart.com.

Maybe It Is My Breath
For the first time since September 2010, Boosterrific.com failed to achieve more than 100 visits any day last week.
September is typically a down month for visitors to the site anyway, but last month was especially bad. Is that because school is starting? Is football getting in the way? Was everyone busy watching the premier of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D or the finale of Breaking Bad?
I don't know what anyone else has been up to, but my own schedule is becoming increasingly hectic. That comes at the same time as Booster Gold news has flatlined. Combine my schedule, the lack of news, and a decline in interest, and the signs seem to indicate that I should cut down from 5 to maybe 3 posts per week.
To be clear: this isn't an announcement. I haven't made any decision about this yet. I'm just warning the few readers who still come by regularly that changes may be coming.

Get Your Scribble On
Two weeks ago I warned you to expect Booster Gold in Scribblenauts Unmasked. The game's release earlier this week was accompanied by this video on youtube. Pay close attention at around the 45 second mark and tell em what you see.
That's right, it is the Justice League International! It's about time everybody's favorite Justice League made it into a video game together.
Scribblenauts Unmasked is available now for the 3Ds and Wii U.

Accept No Imitations
Obviously, it will take a lot to keep us fans from our Booster Gold, but don't try to sell us another character dressed as "Booster Gold" and expect us to take it! There is only one true Booster Gold!
Last week's poll question: What would prevent you from buying a Booster Gold comic book? (58 votes)
Enough negativity! Let's get back to basics: discussing what we like about Booster Gold!
