New Old Releases: Smallville Season 11: Argo

If you didn't buy them digitally, and you didn't buy them as individual floppies, DC has now collected the Smallville Season 11: Argo in a trade in both hard copy and digital formats. You really don't have any more excuses for not buying the only story to feature Skeets in the past 3 years! (Thank you, Bryan Q. Miller!)

Smallville Season 11 Volume 4: Argo was actually released last week, but I got distracted with the news that there was definitely NOT a Booster Gold series coming in June. Sorry.

If you can't find the book at your Local Comic Shop (shame on them), you can purchase a copy on either at Comixology.com or Amazon.com.

Long Time No Skeets

Today's fan art comes to us from J.A.Parker, @Achooniverse on Twitter:

Booster Gold and Skeets by J.A.Parker

I like that Legion Flight Ring, but I love me some Skeets.

Lost in the Long Boxes

In a recent peek through my long boxes, I found two issues that I had failed to put into the Booster Gold non-chronological appearances database here at Boosterrific.com.

© DC Comics© DC Comics

Those are the covers to Independent Comic Group's Millennium Index. Those two issues were published in 1988 to catalog the comics and characters appearing in DC's Millennium event. (ICG must have licensed the use of the "Millennum" masthead.) In many ways, like DC's Who's Who, those comics were the pre-World Wide Web equivalent of websites like Boosterrific.com.

I'm sure I originally overlooked these because they weren't published by DC Comics. However, as you can see, Booster Gold appears on Joe Stanton's cover of Millennium Index #1. As you can't see, Dan Jurgen's cover to Booster Gold, Volume 1, #25, appears inside Millennium Index #2. These two issues are chock-full of Booster Gold references.

Anyway, I've finally added these to the more-complete-than-ever Boosterrific comic book index. Could there be other books out there that I'm still missing? If you come across one, please let me know.

Jeff Lemire Tells Newsarama: No Gold in JLU

Many of you have probably read yesterday's Vaneta Rogers interview of Jeff Lemire over at Newsarama.com. If you missed it, here are the important bits (so far as fans of Booster Gold are concerned):

  1. Jeff Lemire thinks Booster Gold is Canadian. (He's wrong.)
  2. Dan Jurgens does not. (He's right.)
  3. Animal Man/Green Arrow are the new Blue Beetle/Booster Gold . (Because Beetle and Booster were busy?)
  4. Booster Gold will absolutely NOT be appearing in his Justice League United series. (Darn.)

So, no reason to buy any issues of Justice League United, then. Thanks for that, guys. I'll be saving my money for Future's End, where there's still the chance to see my hero return to action.

You can read the full interview here. Thanks to ctalbot2085 for giving us the link in the Boosterrific Forum.

Better luck next month.

Last week's poll question: Do you believe the rumor that Booster Gold will be getting a new ongoing in June? (54 votes)

Do you believe the rumor that Booster Gold will be getting a new ongoing in June?

Today's question is for housekeeping purposes in a world without ongoing Booster Gold comic book appearances.
