Weekend Site Updates
Several changes to Boosterrific over the weekend. Most were minor and won't be noticed by anyone. However, the advertisements and reprint collections have been split out of Out of Continuity list and given their own lists. (Ads here and trades here.) Hopefully, this will make the information that people want to see more easily accessible, especially as Boosterrific becomes more aggressive in categorizing and cataloging Booster Gold appearances.
On an entirely related note, remember that Boosterrific is always looking to expand the database of Booster Gold advertisements. If you come across an appearance of Booster in a comic book, drop a line to webmaster at Boosterrific.com. If you find a publication not already in the database, you'll get credit on the site. Known advertisements including Booster Gold are for the first appearance of Booster Gold (1985), Who's Who Update (1987), Armageddon 2001 (1991), Eclipso: The Darkness Within (1992), AIDS public service announcements (1993-1994), DC subscription ads (1995?), and Booster Gold Volume 2 (2006). Booster may have also appeared in ads for Millennium (1988), so keep your eyes open in any post-Crisis DC comics. Thanks!

Jim Pesl: Mystery Revealed!
Thanks to some investigative work by long-time Booster Gold fan and frequent Boosterrific.com contributor Shawn Baston, we now know who Jim Pesl is. In Shawn's own words:
Talked to Dan Jurgens today. I asked him about "Pesl" that shows up in the artwork. It turns out it's the name of an old college buddy of Norm Rapmund from Grand Rapids, and Norm likes to sneek it in from time to time.
So there we have it. Mystery solved. Thanks, Shawn (and Dan), for getting to the bottom of this.
UPDATE, March 2011: Check out the comment from Anonymous below with a little more clarification regarding Jim Pesl. (Sure, it's not exactly from a verified source, but what would someone going by the tag "Anonymous" have to hide?)

New Kid on the Blog
You know you've made it when others are asking you for a hand up. Case in point: I've been asked to introduce you to The Greatest Blog You've Never Heard Of. I suspect that you've never heard of it because it is brand new. I know that my fans will never desert me, so it couldn't hurt to show a new blogspot blog devoted to reviews of Booster Gold comics a little love. After all, you can never, ever have enough websites devoted to Booster Gold, now can you?

What, No New Releases?
After celebrating Booster Gold's appearance in an astonishing 3 new releases last week, facing a new comic book day with no appearance of Booster Gold is almost depressing. Maybe a nice browse of Boosterrific.com will provide your weekly Booster Gold fix. If not, perhaps content yourself with a silent moment of contemplation with Booster Gold beside Lake Checko by Maya Nord. Maya's NSFW-titled livejournal page, from which I shamelessly borrowed the image above, can be found here.

Blue and Gold Animated?
Since Warner Brothers has now all but closed their animated movies division, we're going to have to look elsewhere for a Booster Gold animated film. That somewhere may be from Ken Landefield, who has recently promised the development of a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle fan-animated film. Landefield hopes that a spec script will help him break into the entertainment industry. While I can attest to the fact that building your product around Booster Gold isn't a cash cow, I'm not going to discourage Mr. Landefield because I certainly would like to see some animated "BWAH-HA-Ha"-ing. You can follow Landefield's progress on his blog here.
