That purple fellow on the left is Kang the Conqueror. For those of you who don't read Marvel Comics, Kang is a time travelling would-be world conqueror who has long bedeviled the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. (Actually, there are a bunch of Kangs from alternate timelines. But that's beside the point.)

I'm pretty sure Booster could take him.

Today's fan art inspired a thought: why don't real corporations pay DC Comics to embed advertising inside the comics stories themselves? I mean, if it works for national news programs....

Superman: "We've got to go help those people."

Booster Gold: "I'll be there as soon as I'm done brushing my teeth with Colgate® brand toothpaste. Every hero deserves a healthy smile!"
