A Blaze of Booster Gold Media Glory
If you haven't heard the news yet, Scott Johnson over at ComicBook.com has found an Easter Egg in the latest Man of Steel trailer. As you might have guessed from seeing it referenced here, it's Booster Gold related.
At the two minute and twenty-seven second mark in the third Man Of Steel trailer, Superman and General Zod are shown flying directly at each other with the Metropolis skyline in the background.
In the Metropolis skyline, there is a building with a blurry yellow and white neon sign. Comicbook.com blew up a hi-res version of the image, and the blurry yellow and white sign is actually for "Blaze Comics." In DC Comics, Blaze Comics is the comic book publisher that publishes the Booster Gold comic book series.
Johnson goes on to speculate about what this news might mean and why Blaze Comics was chosen for inclusion. I'm just happy that Booster has found a way to crash Superman's movie.
Elsewhere on the Internet, Geoff Johns told Steve "Frosty" Weintraub at Collider.com that the Booster Gold television project isn't officially dead yet.
Booster Gold TV series: still in development, Andrew Kreisberg is working on it right now.
"Still in development" isn't really revealing very much, but at least it's better than "not still in development!" Is the show headed somewhere other than SyFy, which didn't even mention it in their 2014 upfronts last month? Skeets' fins are crossed that the show comes to TV sooner rather than later!

Shooting for Skeets
I haven't been watching SyFy since they cancelled Eureka. No Booster Gold isn't giving me much reason to change that pattern of behavior.
Last week's poll question: How do you respond to the lack of Booster Gold television news from SyFy this week? (52 votes)
Booster will be appearing in two different 3-part stories in the next 3 months, one within continuity and one without. We know that Skeets is in the non-continuity Smallville Season 11 issues, but there's no word yet on whether Skeets will be in the DCnU-continuity All-Star Western. If he does show up, will he be a behind-the-scenes assistant, or an active sidekick? If you had a say, what kind of Skeets would you hope to see in the DCnU?

Missing Inaction
I'm so desperate for the return of Booster Gold, I may be buying this in both digital and print issues!
Last week's poll question: When will you be buying the chapters of Smallville: Season 11 #13? (36 votes)
It was a year ago at the 2012 SyFy Upfronts that the network announced they were working on an "Untitled Booster Gold Project." The 2013 SyFy Upfront was yesterday, and there was no sign of any Booster Project, untitled or otherwise.
The last news we heard about the Booster Gold show was that writer Andrew Kreisberg was set to deliver a script for the pilot back in December 2011. Given the lack of any news in the months since, it sure is beginning to look like we won't be seeing Booster Gold on SyFy.

Time for a Healthy Breakfast
Those of you who attentively watched the DC Nation block on Cartoon Network this past weekend hopefully caught the Booster Gold reference in the Thunder and Lightning short. For those that blinked and missed it, here it is again:

Now we just need DC to get this into our grocery stores. Hopefully Sugar Bear won't find cause for litigation over the similarity with his longstanding Post Golden Crisps cereal.

What I'll Be Watching on TV This Weekend
This Sunday may see the biggest football game in America, but neither Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco nor San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick has ever thrown a pass to save the universe....
...much less an entire multi-verse!
Since the Big Game isn't until Sunday, you might want to check out DC Nation on Cartoon Network tomorrow morning at 10AM EST to pass the time. There will be a new Thunder & Lightning short, "Under the Weather," that Comics Alliance tells us will include a Booster Gold product placement! (Thanks to Morgenstern for reminding those of us who like to sleep in on Saturdays to set our DVRs.)
Enjoy the game, everybody.
