The Juice Was Loose
It was 20 years ago today that the most famous car chase in American history captivated our attention.

On June 17, 1994, the nation watched as the L.A.P.D. chased a white Ford Bronco along the Los Angeles freeways at a show-stopping 35 miles per hour. Of course, the driver of that Bronco was one Orenthal James "O.J." Simpson, a Hall of Fame football player suspected in the grisly murder of his ex-wife and her friend.
"The Chase" was a ratings bonanza, with an estimated 95 millions Americans glued to their televisions that Friday evening. How could another former football player with his own checkered history not want to get in on that kind of free publicity?

Someone to Love
Be careful, ladies. Booster Gold is a heart-breaker!
Last week's poll question: Which reality television show would be the best showcase for the talents of Booster Gold? (47 votes)
DC Entertainment recently sent me a survey asking what I thought about romance in comics, as in, "do you want to read about your heroes having love interests?" My answer was "yes"! (Without love, what are heroes fighting for? Market share?) What would your answer be?

In for the Long Haul
It looks like even John Constantine is getting a television show before Booster Gold does.
As you have probably heard by now, The Flash television show will be on The CW this fall. A trailer for the show hit the web last week, and it got people talking. Even people who aren't familiar with Barry Allen. People like M.L. Brumage of LetUsNerd.com:
I'm sure comic book fans could spend hours telling me how great he is (I haven't read many Flash comics) and I can't say I'd disagree with them, because this trailer looks pretty good. And, if they bring Booster Gold into it (which there are zero rumors to back up this hope) I'm in for the long haul.
Someone who doesn't know the Flash but does know Booster Gold? There is hope for this rotten world yet. If Booster appears on The Flash, I'm in too.
You can see the whole trailer at LetUsNerd.com.
(Reminder: no post for Memorial Day on Monday. Back on Tuesday.)

The Best Showcase for Booster Gold
Other than David, who suggested "Booster Gold Fans," no one else who voted "something else" told me what that something else might be. Were the rest of you just saying that you didn't care for the options I gave, but you didn't have any better suggestions?
Last week's poll question: What name do you prefer for Booster Gold fans? (49 votes)
Dancing with the Stars just ended its 18th American season, and that got me thinking....

The Blog That Cried Wolf
I asked last week's question because I was wondering how many of you were enjoying Arrow. Several of my non-comic reading friends love it, but I just can't seem to get into it.
Last week's poll question: Which series makes the best template for a Booster Gold television show? (50 votes)
I don't consider myself a journalist, but I don't like posting unsubstantiated rumors and avoid them whenever possible. If you sent me an anonymous email and told me that you knew Geoff Johns was going to be bringing back Skeets in an issue of Aquaman, I wouldn't mention it here without some form of corroboration. However, I make an exception from time to time when a rumor promotes something I want to see, like a new Booster Gold series. I trust that in such cases my audience can make a rational decision about the validity of the rumor.
