You Can't Always Get What You Want
So you're still happy, even without Booster, huh?
Last week's poll question: More than six months in, how satisfied are you with Rebirth overall? (59 votes)
Generally speaking, I do think that the Rebirth DC Universe is an improvement over what came before. That said, I'll never be satisfied until I get my Booster Gold back.
On an unrelated note, for those of you like me who missed Booster Gold in the Justice League Action debut in December, TV Guide tells me that Cartoon Network is scheduled to rerun the episode "Night of the Bat" tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM Eastern. Don't miss it twice!

Back in Action
Justice League Action debuted on Cartoon Network on Friday in a four-part "Shazam Slam" special. Unexpectedly, Booster Gold got in on the action!

Booster played a small role in episode 3, "Night of the Bat," where he is used exclusively as comic relief. (There's even a quick "Gold's Gym" visual pun.) Diedrich Bader's portrayal of Booster sounds a little more Californian than Boosters past. It's very in keeping with Booster's public image as an idiot.
Although Booster doesn't have much to do in this episode, JLA writer Jonathan Callan called the character "a breakout star" on Twitter.com. Booster voice actor Diedrich Bader responded by saying how much he loves playing the character.
Hopefully, this love fest will translate into bigger roles for Booster in future episodes. We'll be watching.
(Special thanks to Bob in Friday's comments for catching Booster's appearance.)

Giving Thanks to Chaos
Over the weekend, Mr. Chaos announced the end of his CW-inspired Booster Gold television show fan fiction. It wasn't canceled for low ratings, but because of a writers' strike (of sorts).
As a writer myself, I know how hard it can be to write long form fiction. I want to thank Chaos for his attempt at giving Booster Gold fans a product that television has, so far, denied us. Give yourself a hand!
If you haven't read his attempt at an Arroverse Booster Gold television series, you can still find it in the Boosterrific Forum.

Chaos Brings Booster Gold to the CW
Mr. Chaos has posted the first episode of his Booster Gold CW-inspired fan fiction in the Boosterrific Forum.
Although Chaos has made several changes from canon in his adaptation, I think he's done a very good job of integrating Booster Gold into the style of the CW's "Arrowverse." If Greg Berlanti and Zack Stentz treat Booster Gold so well with their movie script, I think we would all be very satisfied.
Go read it and be your own judge.

Booster Gold Movie to Stand Alone
On Wednesday, Abraham Riesman reported the following for Vulture.com:
"As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds," [Greg] Berlanti said when asked if the movie would be part of the DC Extended Universe that already includes Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad .... "It'd be a separate thing."
Berlanti also indicated that the movie is an extension of the Booster Gold TV show abandoned by the SyFy network in 2012. He gives credit to Geoff Johns for rolling that canceled project into a theatrical movie. Johns recently told the Wall Street Journal that he is trying to make the cinematic DC Universe less "gritty and dark." (I think I owe Geoff Johns a drink.)
Back to the original topic: the Booster Gold movie is currently planned to be a stand-alone story with no connection to the larger Warner Brothers cinematic DC Universe. Whether you think that is good news or bad news probably depends on whether you're one of the people who helped Batman v Superman make $872 million.
Let's find out where Booster boosters stand.
This week's poll question: How do you feel about the Booster Gold movie not taking place in the Warner Bros DC Extended Universe? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.
