How did that character sheet get in the story?
Don't you just LOVE books where the writing's so good that they feel the need to spell out just who all the characters are, after ONLY 10 issues? SHEESH

Actually, I am glad when writers do things like this. It is easy to forget that everyone has a first comic. Spending a page or a half to catch up new readers is a good thing. If I was goddess of comic books, I would start every comic with its equivalent of the old Legion Rollcall.

I have to admit, I'm a big fan of the roll call, too. (That might be why I chose to run these panels.) Certainly a roll call is appropriate following a crossover issue that might bring in new fans. However, I can really sympathize that it feels like just so much more padding when the roll call takes up more than half a page of a 20-page book. With real estate at a premium in a story already marked by expansive decompression, I have to wonder if this is the best way to get the issue going.

Yeah, I like roll calls too. However moderation is the key. It gets really annoying when you're getting fed those roll calls every issue or two...And don't get me started about recaps.

Why do all the human looking heroes have an X on the right cheek?

Boosterrific [Official Comment] posted on Jun. 4, 2012 at 6:41 PM
I'd noticed that before. I think that's Aaron Lopresti shorthand for scratches. I don't recall being scratched like that, but I don't live in the DCU, either.

I'm okay with a roll call. Big sucker for these actually!

What?! Don't you guys have those X-on your right cheek as well?! XD

Skeets is very sad, and is praying the gods he will get his very own Johnny DC book for all ages.

3. Batwing's mask is so ridiculous that Rob Liefeld think it's over the top.
4. Batwing needs to stop cutting his own hair.

Ahem... notice the title of the issue? Oh wait, I didn't mean to be insensitive. I'm sure Booster will get a chance to headline an issue title in his own book someday. :)

The Irredeemable Shag

I'm not noticing another fact (new change!):
5. Booster Gold coming from the future isn't public knowledge anymore, or at least not everyone knows it/is sure it is true.

Batwing may be a jerk, but nowhere near as Batman really is, new Justice League, anyone?

Boosterrific [Official Comment] posted on May. 1, 2012 at 2:28 PM
I found the first the first issue of JUSTICE LEAGUE so offensive, I haven't read any since. I won't give it another look until Johns and Lee are off the book.

Morgenstern posted on May. 1, 2012 at 2:33 PM
In some of the recent issues Batman suppossedely called the JLI a bad joke that needs to be stopped.

Siskoid of the Blog of Geekery posted the panel from JUSTICE LEAGUE 7 that has Batman telling Steve Trevor to "shut down that joke calling itself the Justice League International." (Find the image at Siskoid's post: http://siskoid.blogspot.com/2012/04/geoff-johns-doesnt-want-you-to-read.html

The issue was written by Geoff Johns, who as DC Chief Creative Officer really should have a better idea of how Jurgens is writing Batman in JLI.

deusex2 posted on May. 2, 2012 at 3:09 PM
Well, the whole point of early JL in DCnU is that they are posing as Superfriends for the whole world, but in practice, they can't stand each other's guts... And others too, for that matter.

I know how you feel about current JL, so do I, but a friend of mine is giving it a very active benefit of a doubt, despite all of my warnings.

He even forced me to read JL part where Phantom Stranger confronts a familiar figure. That bit infected me with the optimism as well...Right until next issue.

Boosterrific [Official Comment] posted on May. 2, 2012 at 3:33 PM
I don't know why anyone at DC Comics would think I would want to read a Superfriends comic where the "heroes" hate one another. I find the concept disgusting. (I can't say that I am pleased that there are adults who would pay good money for stories about animosity-riddled Supermen. Proof, as if any was needed, that there is no accounting for bad taste.)

Jesster posted on Mar. 5, 2012 at 5:46 PM
I hate to bring it up but it's the constant mystery of the JLI: On page 1 who is the woman in a black costume in Booster's arms? Is it possible that we're already getting some bleed through from the "Real" DCU and it's centered around Booster Gold and this mystery woman. I can only hope.

Jesster posted on Mar. 5, 2012 at 5:48 PM
Ooops sorry disregard, it was just Fire as clearly seen on the next page. Sorry, jumped the gun as usual hoping for better.

Boosterrific [Official Comment] posted on Mar. 5, 2012 at 11:29 PM
Jesster, that was actually my first take when I saw the image, too. I also thought her ass was hanging out of her costume. I can't blame Fire's costume on Jim Lee, though, as her DCnU costume was pretty much her Checkmate costume.

Eyz posted on Mar. 7, 2012 at 6:00 AM
...so does that mean Checkmate still exists? If yes, was there a Maxwell Lord (the one from the Omac series?) that tried to take control over it?!

...
Still no Ted???
