By The Hair of His Chinny Chin Chin

Whatever you think of writer Tom King's interpretation of Booster Gold in recent issues of Batman, I think we can all agree that we like the way Tony Daniel draws our hero. His take on bearded Booster Gold is already the talk of the Internet. (You know, the part that talks about super hero hairstyles.)

What do you think of Booster's beard? Would you like to see it stick around for future adventures? Or do you want your clean-shaven baby-faced Booster back?

This week's poll question: Should Booster Gold keep his beard from BATMAN 46? Please visit the Boosterrific Polls page to view results for this week's poll.

And The Artist Is

It should come as no surprise that Booster Gold fans would love to see Booster's creator, Dan Jurgens draw our hero's return to the DCnU.

Last week's poll question: Who do you want to see drawing ACTION 993? (46 votes)

Who do you want to see drawing ACTION 993?

Whoever it ends up being (even if it's Marc Campos), I'm still looking forward to it.

Someone Has to Draw It

We know that Booster Gold will be returning to the DCU this December in Action Comics #993 and #994. We know that the book will be written by Dan Jurgens. What we don't know is who will be drawing it.

The solicitations released earlier this week repeat last week's announcement that the art team on those books will be Brett Booth (Teen Titans) and Joe Prado (Justice League). However, Booth has repeatedly denied via Twitter that he is involved.

Does this mean that Prado will be carrying the load solo? Will there be a different artist altogether on the book? Who would you like to see? Let's put it to a vote!

Holding Him Hostage

Whew! Most of you agree that Booster won't be Mr. Oz. What a relief.

Last week's poll question: Will Booster Gold play any role in the unveiling of Mr. Oz? (59 votes)

Will Booster Gold play any role in the unveiling of Mr. Oz?

The real question here might be if Booster Gold was a prisoner of Mr. Oz, will we be seeing more of him after "The Oz Effect"? At least we can't see him any less.

We'll find out what role — if any — our hero will be playing in Mr. Oz's schemes when "The Oz Effect" goes on sale in Action Comics this September.

Hoping for Good News from Comic Con

DC has released solicitations for books shipping in October. None of them give any hint that we'll be seeing DC's brightest star anytime soon.

But all hope is not lost! This weekend is Comic Con International in San Diego. DC has to be holding something back to tease their fans, right? I'm not saying that Booster Gold will be front and center, but maybe DC will demonstrate that he's not entirely forgotten, either.

Speaking of "front and center," I started the week with a plea that Superman antagonist Mr. Oz not be revealed as Booster Gold in the upcoming "The Oz Effect" story in Action Comics. Many of you had something to say about that. Let's run a quick poll and see what the group consensus is.

Enjoy your weekend, Booster boosters!
