Today's poll is inspired by DC's recent decision to prevent Batwoman from marrying and the outcry that triggered from fans. (The book's creative staff quit in protest. Would we even know about DC editorial's decision if the creative staff hadn't quit? Should fans now expect this sort of behind-the-scenes dysfunction when they consider reading DC Comics? What should Booster Gold fans be prepared to accept if we ever actually see the much-promised Booster Gold volume 3?)

So many votes! The potential return of Ted Kord must strike a nerve.

Seeing Booster Gold with the other cosplayers at DragonCon made me think about the few Justice League members that Booster has never worked with. I think all the Leaguers should get the chance to hang out with DC's premier hero, Booster Gold. Where should we start?

Friday the Canadian newspaper The Star broke the news that Jeff Lemire would be taking over Justice League of America when the team moves to Canada.

That news inspired Booster Gold fans everywhere to ask, "if Booster Gold is really Canadian in the DCnU, will he be joining the team?" The answer is no. (And not just because Booster isn't Canadian.)

Jeffrey Renaud of ComicBookResources.com put the question directly to Jeff Lemire:

CBR: I think the only other Canadian character that's been introduced into the New 52 is Booster Gold. Again, I know you are sworn to secrecy on the roster but does Booster play a role in your book?

Lemire: No plans for Booster. I wish I could talk about my roster because it's my dream team -- a couple of other cosmic characters and some current, fairly major characters will be part of the team.

Geez. Booster can't catch a break, can he?

For the record, still no evidence has ever been introduced in canon to contradict Booster Gold's American citizenship as established in Booster Gold Volume 1. Even ComicBookResources.com admitted as much in their countdown of the Top 10 Canadian Heroes. Given that Booster has made exactly 3 comic appearances in the past year and has nothing on the horizon, it doesn't look like there will be any change to that status in the foreseeable future.

Today will be a busy day for Booster Gold fans. Smallville Season 11 #15 is on stands today, concluding Booster's trip to the 31st century to meet Smallville's version of the Legion of Super-Heroes. A preview of the issue is available at Mancave Daily

If that's not enough Booster for you, Justice League Dark Volume 2: The Books of Magic is also out today. This collection reprints Justice League Dark #14, the issue where Booster appears on John Constantine's magical mystery bulletin board.

MetalWoman had referenced it in the Boosterrific Forum, and I guess I thought that was good enough. But Gio is right, I should have posted the relevant panel here in the Boosterrific Blog, too.
