Inaction Figures Are Good Too
So maybe we won't be getting any new "official" Booster Gold figures from DC any time soon, but real fans will always find their own solution to surrounding themselves with the heroes they love. For example, check out these crafty Justice League Action-inspired Booster Gold plushies by ElfGrove:

If Booster was a real person, he couldn't be any cuter than these!
You can find many more pictures of the plushie-making process on Instagram.com. Keep up the good work, ElfGroove!

Fan Art Friday
Roy Westerman and Phil Cho have set about redesigning the DCU in a project they're calling Earth-27. This is Cho's version of Booster Gold and Skeets:
What a rogue! I don't care for the extraneous zipper and buttons across the chest, but I still think it's better than the New 52 design.
You can see more of Cho's designs on DeviantArt.com or his website, PhilChoArt.com.

The Man Can Draw
There was no post yesterday . . . because I screwed up my dates. Oops. (January has how many days this year?) Sorry. The following is the post that should have run yesterday morning. I hope it was worth the wait.
I posted a cover image by Kevin Maguire on Friday. I liked it so much, I'm going to start the week with a couple of recent Maguire commissions.
It has been nearly three decades since Justice League International made him a star, and Maguire's work is as good as ever!

A Blue and Gold New Year
Twenty-seventeen is going to be the best year ever! And even if it isn't, we'll still have super friends Booster Gold and Blue Beetle to get us through the hard times.

Art by Adrien Béroud, aka Gadrien at DeviantArt.com.
(That's the best thing about collecting comics. Even if they kill off our heroes or just ignore them for years at a time, we'll always have our long boxes of back issues.)
And if you're looking for something else to excite you this year, check out this tweet by Geoff Johns as part of his countdown of the 5 things to look forward to from DC in 2017:
Garth Franklin at DarkHorizons.com has already speculated that perhaps it will be the Booster Gold project returned to television. Or perhaps a resurrection of the Blue Beetle series teased years ago. There's no evidence for either of those yet, but there's no harm in hoping. One of these days, we are going to get another live action Booster Gold. Why not in 2017?

Year in Review 2016: Number 3
Each December I look back at the year that was and find the Boosterrific.com posts that garnered the most attention.
Number three on this year's countdown of most popular posts was this fine piece of (unlicensed) apparel I showed you in September:
As you can see, it's a good looking design. But the best part is hiding inside.
Say hello to my little friend:

It's Skeets! Without a doubt, this hoodie is the very definition of Boosterrific!
We'll continue the countdown on Wednesday.
