Looking Smooth
Don't think that just because Animal Man took over pin-up day on Monday you are going to miss out on sweet Booster Gold art this week. The following sketch comes by way of Marcio Takara, the artist taking over Blue Beetle for issue #9. (Takara is currently the artist on Boom! Studios' Incorruptable.)
While Booster wears his classic threads -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it! -- note that Skeets gets a little jet-fighter makeover that combines his original and JLU designs. The fact that our li'l robot pal still looks so good owes no small debt to Takara's graceful line-work.
Takara has this sketch from Wizard World New Orleans and other great work on his page at Deviant Art, where you can find contact information for a commission of your own. (If you look around his gallery, you'll also find a nifty image with 100 tiny characters, including the classic Justice League International with Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, that can be used as a computer desktop image.) It's worth a look.

Ekam Steeks a Puc-c!
Sufficiently advanced technology could be indistinguishable from magic, but Booster's 25th-century tech may have met its match in Zatanna's wand.
The delightful piece above of Zatanna working her magic on Blue and Gold (and Skeets!) was drawn as a commission by Loston Wallace. You can find more of Wallace's work on his website, lostonwallace.com, or over on deviantart.com.

Ready for the Future
The server migration is complete. Mostly. There are some lingering problems with the Forum, and it will remain closed until debug is complete. Otherwise, everything else appears to be working fine. If you note anything broken, please let me know in the comments or via email at webmaster at Boosterrific.com.

The above pin-up pretty much sums up my current optimism. It was created by Michael Birkhofer a few years ago, but good art never goes out of style. You can find more of Birkhofer's work on his website mbirkhofer.com and commission information at mbirkhofer.deviantart.com.
[UPDATE 01/23/12: Forum is now restored and re-opened.]

Unauthorized Booster and Beetle
No new release from DC for Booster Gold today, so maybe you'd like to take a look at an old, unauthorized release. Morgenstern -- who seems to be on a mission of his own, tracking down Booster Gold across the farthest corners of the internet -- recommends xanykaos' Booster and Beetle comic on Deviant Art.
Complete with a surprise guest appearance of another notable couple of time travelers, this little comic from 2009-2010 will make you laugh and cry. Hey, DC, why can't you scrap one of the 9 Batman-related comics on shelves this week to make room for more books like this?

Goldstar Wars
It's Memorial Day weekend, traditionally the beginning of the summer movie season, also known as the season of comic book movies and runaway movie merchandising. May we never forget the grandfather of summer movie merchandising: Star Wars, which opened on Memorial Day weekend 34 years ago.

Han Solo, meet Booster Gold. (Real heroes wear collars!) This creative smash-up has been brought to you by grasshopperis777 (Robert Oden, Jr.) via deviantart.com.
Enjoy your 3-day weekend, nerf herders.
