In addition to voicing the hilariously selfish exploration mission recordings in DC Universe Online, Booster Gold is a mini-boss in the "HIVE Base" Duos mission. Booster has been enslaved by the Queen Bee and is forced to battle heroes and endorse her mind-controlling hypno-pollen. It is up to a pair of level 30 players to defeat and free him from her control. Fortunately, Skeets is immune to the Queen Bee's charms, and gives the players the advice that they need to free Booster Gold.
So get to it, players. Booster Gold needs your help!

Maybe not quite "several hundred" in Metropolis, Skeets, but a lot, anyway:
But now that you mention it, they do all look pretty much exactly the same. It begins to make me wonder how you ever managed to find the same one twice, Booster.

While I have been disappointed to learn that Booster Gold may not be an actual character model in the game DC Universe Online, my spirits have been buoyed by this image, the best I've gotten yet of Booster's in-game Flakiesâ„¢ advertisement:
The pic is of Jeremey Hudson's avatar, Booster Silver, who Jeremey describes as akin to "the Red Arrow to Queen's Green Arrow." No doubt we will soon see a Silverstar flying around. Thanks for the pic, Jeremy.

I've discovered, with the 'iconic powers' there's many things, such as Heatvision, Batarangs, Power of Solomn (sp?) and...wait for it...<br />Robot Sidekick!!!<br />How many people besides Booster have a robot SIDEKICK? I know that there's the Metal Men, but they aren't really sidekicks, so I've realized that DCUO also gave, basically, Skeets a little star of approval, making him an Iconic Power! And that struck me as odd, that they'd give Booster an Iconic Power, yet shy away from people like J'onn and such.<br />Either way, I was giddy and made sure my gadgeteering villain had one ;P

i saw a guy who made a costume exactly like boosters, i cant remember his name but thats a testiment to how in depth the charecter custimization is.........

DC Universe Online launched one week ago today, and it seems that it has already exposed an all-new audience to Booster Gold, if the GameSpot forums are any indication. On Sunday, a new forum topic was started titled "Who the hell's Booster Gold?" If this game introduces even one player to Booster Gold, I say it was all worth it. You can find the thread here.

I hope someone sets those jokers straight on Booster being nothing but a comedy laugh riot with no mention of the excellent turn that the character took in Crisis and 52.

DC Universe Online ships worldwide today.
I'm iced in, so my local gaming store might as well be in Metropolis. However, I trust that sooner or later someone out there will play it and give us a review of Booster Gold's surprisingly prominent role as official DC tour guide.

I have played in the Beta Test of DCUO, and I love Booster's commentary on all things in the DC Universe. The DCU specific product placements are a favorite of mine. Now, I'm hoping there is a mission or series of missions where you can work alongside him and the Blue Beetle (either Ted or Jamie).

I absolutely love when I get a City Tour mission! With Booster Gold as the historical illuminator, where could it go wrong? As a Booster fan I was rather giddy that he was included at all, regardless of his rather flagrant 'corporate hero' characterization. Random product placement, cheesy one liners & an introduction that screams Troy McClure, it all certainly plays into Booster à la 52.<br />Sadly, I've seen many people become exasperated by the missions & frankly the inclusion of Booster at all. I'm really hoping that they'll have a mission where you get to team up with him & see that he has some serious depth. The last few years in the comics have been his renaissance & I hope the game won't overlook that.<br />Even if we don't get to see that side of him in game, at the very least I'm pleased he was included. I still know he's the greatest hero you've never heard of!<br />Although, there is one thing that I'm disappointed with; the Booster Flakes adverts do not proclaim they're Boosterrific! :D

I just heard from a friend that Booster is encountered as a kiosk voiceover, not an in-game model. I did not know that. Now I wonder if Booster does physically appear in the game.... Hmm. I sure hope so.
