Recent Booster Gold Commissions
September is here, which means we're just a few weeks away from Booster's Futures End one-shot. But if you can't wait that long for some professionally produced Booster Gold art, take a look at these recent commissions:
The image on the left, drawn by artist Ale Garza, is the latest addition to The Blot Says' Booster Gold sketchbook from The Houston Con.
The image on the right was a commission of Joe Rubinstein's inks over Kevin Maguire's pencils for Alan Aaron B. Hale. (Sorry about getting your name wrong there, Aaron! I stayed up too late this Labor Day, I guess!)
Click either image to link to a larger pic. Both of them are Boosterrific!

Is That Made of Real Gold?
Herbert Fung emailed me a few weeks back with this cosplay pic he snapped at Calgary Comics & Entertainment Expo 2014 in April:
Thank you, Herbert. I still say the colors in that costume are more vibrant than in a comic book! (Check out those airbrushed abs!)
In related news, today is opening day of DragonCon in Atlanta, GA. There's always plenty of DC cosplayers at DragonCon, so here's fingers crossed that we'll see more Booster Gold cosplay pics maybe as soon as Tuesday. (Reminder: Monday is Labor Day, so no post.)

What We Did Not Learn at Comic-Con 2014
I had reserved this space to show you the Booster Gold costumes that were pictured at Comic-Con this past weekend....
...but after looking through thousands of photos online, I still haven't spotted a single Booster Gold cosplayer from this year's convention. I'm sure that someone must have dressed like Booster Gold in San Diego — I mean, come on, we're talking about Booster Gold! — so if anyone can correct this oversight, please let us know.

Here Comes Comic-Con 2014
It's that time of year again when thousands of pop culture fans flood San Diego. That's right, it's time for Comic-Con!
The picture above of a gender-flipped JLI was taken by David "DTJAAAAM" Ngo at last year's Comic-Con. You can find more of Ngo's cosplay pics at his website, www.dtjaaaam.com. Who knows what his lens will find this year?
BONUS COMIC-CON coverage: Chris Hardwick gave Booster Gold some love earlier this week on Comedy Central's @Midnight!
Don't get too excited. It ain't ever special edition Booster Gold action figures. Hardwick — he of the Nerdist Podcast and The Talking Dead — was making a joke, not an official announcement. You're not missing any Booster Gold action figures at Comic-Con (unless we're talking about the new Lego Batman 3 trailer — more on that on Monday).
You can find the whole @Midnight episode online at cc.com. (Be warned. It's funny, but its got some salty language.)

Going Out in Style
Let's get this week started the right way: with cosplay!
Blue and Gold forever! ComicsAlliance.com found not one but two sets of Blue and Gold cosplayers last week at Charlotte's Heroes Con 2014. You can find larger image in their gallery here.
And while we're on the subject, I hope you didn't miss this unique cosplay that Osyrus posted in the Boosterrific Forum last week. It's a great costume that deserves some recognition.
Great job everybody.
